Vertical Greeting

Good morning. Sun still shining.

This is a part of a matching set using the Vertical Greeting stamp set from Stampin' Up! The photo is just one of the notelets, matching enevelope and the little box for the notelets to go in.

The new SU catalogue goes live tomorrow whoop whoop. If there is anything that you would like me to order for you please, do let me know before 10pm tonight.

Off for a read in the shade, thanks for having a read and have a great day x

Monday

Monday, a new start to a new week

Good morning, and it really is a good morning.  I can hear the church bells in the distance, the sprinklers are on watering the lawns and the I can see the sea from where I am sitting, wonderful.

We have had a great few days, it is cooler than when we are normally here and I have even managed a paddle at the end of the day because I cant go out in the sun, that is a bit tricky. The girls are all great

This is one of the cards made last month. I am really pleased that this set is carrying over to the new catalogue that comes out later this week as there are still lots more that I want to do with it, when I can.

Need anything from Stampin' Up! card, sticky stuff or a stamp set? If you do please let me know before 8pm tonight and dont forget to check out the clearance items too.

PREORDERS being taken now, if there is anything that you would like from the new catalogue please do let me know before Wednesday 6pm. Not got a catalogue? I will be happy to send you one.

Thanks for having a read and have a great day, off for breakfast which has been cooked for me, I am really being looked after x

Friday

Happy birthday sister

Good morning. Weatherwise for me the forecast is 23 degrees but in Derby I have just been told it will be around 26, yikes. I know that not everyone likes this heat so I do hope that those who dont  manage.

Yesterday was a lazy day, in the shade and catching our breath.

Here is the card that I made for my sisters birthday last week.

Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day.

Thursday

pom pom rug

Good morning.  Just a very quick hello and to share this wonderful rug with you.

It took Christiana over 4 weeks to make it and she really enjoyed doing it.  She has worked out the cost and how to make her next one, which is for her sister Sophia.  She purchased all the wool she needed from Wrens in Allenton before the holiday.  Lets hope she has enough.

On the plus side, it is good exercise for her poorly fingers.

I thought holidays were meant to be good for you well, I am shattered. More about that another day.

Enjoy your day and thank you for having a read x

Wednesday

Happy birthday dad

Good morning and it is already 16 degrees.  It is going to be another warm one, nearly as warm as where I will be later tonight *wink*

Yesterday was a whirl again but on a really positive note, I turned up 3 pairs of trousers on my sewing machine. For those that dont know, I started sewing lessons last year but had to stop because of the pains in my hands and arms and so the machine hasnt been out. To turn up these trousers was a major event for me and I am hoping this is a sign that things may be returning to normal.

It was dads birthday last week and here is the card I made.

If anyone is passing and you have a few minutes to spare please feel free to pop in, turn on the hosepipe and give the plants and lawn a drink. There is nothing in the greenhouse as we planted everything up. The housepipe has an extension on it so reaches all the way through to the front. We have even put a new hose head on so the water doesnt dribble all down your arm, i do hate that.  You are most welcome to walk over the lawn in bare feet to cool down *smile*.

Thanks for having a read, have a lovely day x

Tuesday

Wishing you a wonderful day

Morning and a lovely one too.

Our family has lots of birthdays in May and here is a card that I made for Aunty Margaret.

It is a collection of retired Stampin Up stamps, papers and embellishments as well as current
Linen Thread and pearls. The sentiment is one from my stash.

My orchids and Christmas Cactus have gone on holiday to Auntie Ruth, I do hope they behave.

Off for a smooch around town before trying my hand with the sewing machine.  Have trousers become longer or did I shrink by 2 inches? I havent used the sewing machine since I was diagnosed, a year ago, wish me luck.

Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day x

Friday

Lots of Labels Framelits

Good morning and once more, it is damp and soggy outside.  I cant believe how much the grass has grown though, it is really looking nice now.

It was my sisters Wedding Anniversary yesterday and here is the card that I made.

The image is from a very old free stamp that I received with a magazine and I just stumbled across it.  I must admit, it hadnt seen ink before *hanging head in shame*.  I teamed it up with a Stampin' Up! Framelits , just one of the wonderful sets that are still available to purchase now and in the new catalogue.  You cant see the sparkle on the card but I can assure you, it is there.

It is Christmas card night tonight so if you are free and fancy a crafty night of chatter and laughter, we are in the Derby area, just get in touch and I shall give you venue details, tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com

Thanks for having a read and wishing you a wonderful Friday x

Wednesday

Happy Birthday Uncle John

Good morning, phew it is already 15 degrees out there and it isnt 6am yet.  I love warm days.

It seems that my birthday fortnight continues and why not.  Had some lovely visitors yesterday "waving to you" and more wonderful cards.

Plus more pressies and flowers

I love flowers, thank you.

My uncle John has the same birthday as me or, is it that I have the same birthday as he does.  Well we both celebrated on the same day and this is the card I made for him.

Thanks for having a read, I do hope you have stayed dry.  We are expecting a SU order tomorrow *nudge nudge wink wink*, for those that may be waiting for certain items.

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

Good morning and another damp start to the day.  Again, it is watering the plants so that is good.

Yesterday we managed to see local GP but as the systems are still down, we couldnt get a prescription.  I am trying to get through as I type to see if the systems are all back up and running and the doc will give us a ring to get prescription sorted.

Happy Birthday Enya.  This is the card that I made for Enyas birthday. She was 7 this year, goodness me, where do the years go.

I loved making this card and in fact,  I made one or two more the same for some birthdays that are coming up.

There are still lots of wonderful things available on the retirement list as well as the clearance rack.  I thought I would share my top 10 favourites of today with you.

If you would like to order any of these products please, do let me know. As there are so many great discounts, why not get them delivered direct to your home?  If you would like to find out more, do get in touc.

Off to try and so a little bit in the craft room.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day.

Monday

Thank Yous

Good afternoon.  It is a bit damp and soggy today but that is fine as it is watering the lawn and all the plants which means I dont have to do it later in the day.

I have a problem with Mr. Blogger. I am trying to sort it out but it may mean that I have to start a new blog, yikes.  But while I can use this blog on the large computer I shall do.  It seems that technology has moved on, we have new telephones, new ipads and the blog has been up and running for 10 years and things are just not compatible.

It was my birthday yesterday and I had a lovely day.  We went retail therapy in the morning, out for lunch and then lots of wonderful visitors.

Thank you so much for the cards, presents and wishes, I was made to feel very special and it is really appreciated.

Today I got up and the sniffles I had yesterday have turned into a full blown cold, oh oh.  That has an impact of my weekly injections but I am sure it can be sorted out.  Off to the GPs again today although there systems are still "down" I am told.

Wishing you a wonderful Monday and thanks for having a read x

Thursday

Berry Burst Crafting Forever

Good morning and again, the sunshine is out bright and early.  I do know that not everyone likes this weather but I do whoop whoop.

Yesterdays hospital visit went well for mum - ALL CLEAR.  I cried so much.  There were just so many emotions all within a short timeframe from finding the tumor to getting these results were so quick.  Thank goodness for the NHS.

My hospital appointment also went well, my consultant is mad.  Really, she is a lunatic but so good.  I have discovered that she doesnt just think about things, she says exactly what she is thinking so I dont know if she is talking to me.....or talking to herself. I really was giggling in there but we have agreed, (yes WE) that I shall increase my weekly dose a little bit and then, if I can tolerate it, we shall increase it again in 8 - 10 weeks.  Bless her, she has already made me an appointment to have a steroid jab in 8 weeks as she doesnt want me to suffer at all.

Last night Paul took me out for an early birthday tea.  He has gone away today so he wont be here to celebrate my day on Sunday but as the weather is going to be good, today I am going to hose down all the tables and chairs so that we can sit outside for the day and just chill.  We hope to nip out for a bit of lunch but afternoon tea and cakes will be in order.  If you are in the area and fancy a cuppa and a cake please, do feel free to pop in.

Here are some cards made recently for my friends that had Stampin' Up! purchases

It is a sneak peak too of a new stamp set called Crafting Forever and a Berry nice new In Colour, Berry Burst.

If you would like a new Stampin' Up! brochure do let me know as you are most welcome to pop in and collect one.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day.

Wednesday

Midweek Musing

Morning and wow, what a morning, blue skies, doors and windows open, lets hope this weather stays.

Off to see the consultant this morning.  She wanted to see me after 4 months since my first visit to her, last June, just 7 months late tut tut.  Oh well, I shall let you know what she says.  Mum is also at hospital this morning, she gets results of her operation etc. etc. keeping fingers and everything else crossed.  She is still very poorly with pneumonia though. Christiana is off to see her consultant on Friday so it really is a week of hospital visits.

SU surprised me last weekend with a delivery of Stampin' Up! catalogues. Now I know all you lovely ladies would like to get your hands on these and as 1st June is only a few weeks away I have them all ready for collection.
I even made a bookmark and a colour chart of the new In Colours for everyone.  If you are a Stamperette, I will give you yours when you get your goodies, which are ready.  If you would like one of these books please, do let me know and we can arrange for you to have one as soon as possible.  You wont be disappointed with this, it is lush.  Pre orders are being taken NOW, naughty by so nice.

I have a new phone, I am so lucky, it is the I-phone 7.  However I am really struggling to master how to do my blog posts on it so I shall be spending a little more time today, in between other bits and bobs to get it sorted.  If you are reading this and you already know how to post blogs with this phone, please get in touch.

Off to do a few bits and pieces before hospital visit.  Thanks for having a ready and have a wonderful day x

Tuesday

Post from LAST WEEK

Mr. Blogger is playing up.  This post should have been published last week, tut tut.

Good morning and isnt it bright and sunny today, well it is at the moment.  Blue skies here too, which makes such a lot of difference.

I am really pleased to let you know that mum came home from hospital whoop whoop.  I am surprised as she still has the pneumonia and is rather unsteady on her feet but, she is home.  First thing she did was get dad to take her to have her nails polished, if it makes her feel good, why not.

Christiana is keeping me busy but that is good, I love spending time with her.

The craft room looks quite a picture.  Just a few odds and ends to put away but I must say I am really pleased with it.  One the odds and ends are sorted I will be giving everything a good dust down ready for my crafty friends next week.

I found a card that I had made many years ago with my one and only Dawn Bibby kit.  I was so proud of it, at least I kept it for a few years.

Not so sure of it now and the rest of the kit.... I have passed on to a good cause.

Off to start my day, thanks for having a read x

Delightful Dijon

Good morning and what a lovely sunny morning it is today, "said with a smile".  Yesterday was a rather wet start to the day but the weather got better as the day went on.  It is a good job that we (the royal we), cut the grass on Sunday, did some dead heading and a little work with the hoe. The gardens do look a picture today.
After a morning of a MAJOR sort out of the She Shed Craft Room yesterday I am starting to wonder if I like the sorting more than the crafting. It was very good for the soul and I have another few hours left to do today if I am up to it.

We went to see mum again yesterday who is still looking better each day.  She is now back on a ward but the drips that were all taken out on Saturday were put back in again Sunday.  The pneumonia is not shifting at all.  She is rather poorly with it but feels better for being out of intensive care.  Fingers crossed it wont be too long until she is home.

Here is another card that we made last week.

The stamp set will be in the 2017 - 2018 catalogue but Delightful Dijon colour wont.  The set has a bee and a dragonfly in it so here are the cards with both insects.

Today is the day when all Stampin' Up! demonstrators are able to purchase some new items from the new catalogue, just one of the benefits of joining the Stampin' Up! team.  I have my eye on one or two bits and of course, I shall be purchasing the new catalogues today too.

Right, enough of me going on, I am off to browse the new catalogue....again.

If you fancy a few bargains and dont mind stepping over all the boxes, you are most welcome to pop in today to see what is on the dresser.

Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day x
