Saturday

Beautiful You again

Good morning and it isnt quite as cold today.  It was 5 degrees when I got up and the forecast is for it to go up to 6 degrees today and no fog. Phew I dont like fog.

I took a photo of  my empty ironing basket as I really dont know when I will see the bottom of it again.  I think it is just a yearly thing.....

Yesterday I spent in the craft room, once the little chores were done and I was quite happy with the results.  A few cards were made for the open house on Monday, which you are invited to.  If you dont know where I am please get in touch and I will pass on the details.

This card uses 3 stamps from the new Beautiful You stamp set, due to be released next week.
Here I teamed it up with Marina Mist and black card and ink.

Today will be another easy day as my right shoulder is playing up.  I havent done anything to it....just one of the things.  We have lots of invitations for this evening and we hope to get out and about but we shall see how we are as Paul has come down with a cold, again...... This is his second one in 3 weeks and he is feeling under the weather, bless him.  I am doing my best with tea, food and blankets.....

I hope you have a wonderful last day of 2016 and look foreward to seeing you in the New Year.

Friday

Mediterranean Moments

Good morning and it is yet another cold morning to start the day.  -2 at the moment but going up to 8 degrees.  No fog in Derby but we are to expect some later.

I am up so early, 5.10am because guess who fell asleep on her chair before 9pm last night, opps, so I have had plenty of sleep.  Oh well, getting up early gives me a whole day to do what I can.

I have had another little play with a new stamp set that is available on 4th January called Mediterranean Moments.  There are 4 stamps in the set and so many possibilities with it.

And I have been using the new watercolour pencils.  If you fancy seeing a few more of these cards, dont forget to call in on 2nd January.....

Yesterday was another family day, aunts and uncles in the morning, Son, Daughter in law with the grand girls in the afternoon, a smashing day again.

I hope to get to hobbycraft this morning, depending on the weather, I wont drive in freezing conditions unless I really have to.  Paul is doing well building his wall although he has a problem with his elbow tut tut.  We do think we can still do all the stuff we did in our 20s and we dont learn.....never mind.

Off for a cuppa, early shower and see if I can get that craft room warm and toastie.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for having a read x

Thursday

Pocket card

Good morning, it is -1.9 out there at the moment but Mr. weather man says it is going to go up to 6 degrees, which is an improvement.  More fog expected later today so please be careful if you are venturing out.  The fog here yesterday afternoon and evening was really awful.

Our walk around the crem yesterday didn't only blow the cobwebs off but it froze my nose and my face too brrrr.....it was so crisp, fresh and icy.  The whole area was a picture though, so many wreaths and flowers.......

I didn't manage to get in the craft room yesterday but I shall be heading in there today for most of the morning and early afternoon.  Instead I stood and did all my ironing over a 4 hour period, with a few breaks and a cuppa break with Sylvia.  So today my ironing basket is empty and I am not putting the washer on either.

Rob, Nat and the girls are popping in for tea early evening so it will be lovely to catch up with them and hear all about Santa's visit.

Here is another project that I finished with Julies help. It is a card with a pocket, that has another card inside.  Love this one and will be using the idea for next years gift cards.

Photography lessons still needed, but you get the idea.

Dont forget to save an hour for the new Stampin' Up! Spring Catalogue and Sale a Bration details on Monday.  Anytime from 10 - 4 the kettle will be on.  It will be lovely to see you and catch up, a great way to start the new year.

Thanks for having a read today and wishing you a lovely Thursday. Tracey x

Wednesday

Dare to spread your wings frame

-2.9 when I got out of bed, brrr that is cold.  I guess that we should expect these temperatures as it is Winter, I just dont like the cold.

I  managed to spend lots of time in the craft room yesterday and it was lovely to see Julie and Heather.  I actually got to finish a couple of projects from earlier in the year from the Peterborough classes that I missed.

Thank you everyone who started these for me in Peterborough and to Julie for giving me help with the finer details.  I would still like to have a go at the brick wall stencilling so if anyone fancies an afternoon doing this in the New Year let me know, I am sure I have lots of these canvases.

I also managed to make a couple of cards with some of the new products out of the Spring / Summer Stampin' Up! catalogue.  They just need finishing off.
Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day, what every you are up to x

Tuesday

Christmas Baubles

Good morning and its a cold good morning today brrr.  It isnt 1 degree out there yet but it will get up to 7 degrees by lunchtime.  I think I shall be putting on the heating, lighting a smelly candle, put the radio on and have a day in the craft room.

It got used as a store room yesterday so I shall spend an hour or so getting it back to a craft room and then catch up with some crafting.

Here are some rather large baubles that George and I decorated just before Christmas.

They dont look too much in the photograph but they are so very sparkly in real life.  I may have to make another one or two for next year, when I am more organised.

We had mum and dad, sister and bro in law as well as neices with us yesterday and it is so nice to have more family time, missing the girls though.

Hoping everyone that reads this has a wonderful day and thank you for popping in.  Wrapping up warm to put the heating on in the craft room.....brrrrr

Monday

Boxing Day

Good morning and wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.

I had a couple of days off from the blog as a gal cant do it all.  I managed to make the last of the tags, wrap the last of the presents and then make Paul's card so I did well.
Yesterday was amazing and goodness, I was really spoilt by family and friends.  To start the day I overslept *giggles*, how could I do that.  Cyprus is 2 hours in front and the girls were waiting for me to get up to face time them.  Christiana sent me so many stickers on facebook which made *ping* *ping* noises to wake me.....guess she was excited.

This was our tree when Santa had visited, wonderful.

I had too many presents to list but thank you to every single person for all your gifts, they are so special to me as I know that I have so many amazing friends.  Personal messages being sent today.

This was my secret santa gift THANK YOU.

I wore one pair of the socks yesterday goodness, they are so soft.  Chocolate orange will go bit by bit over the next week or so, naughty but nice.

Today, as mum hasnt been too well and she has invited ALL the family for tea,  we are going to do a buffet tea here.  It will be a couple of hours of family time again and guess what is coming out....the racing elves and the photo frames.  I shall share the photos with you tomorrow.

I am off to sainsburys soon so I had best get showered and dressed.  I really do hope that you had a great day yesterday and, if you get time, leave me a comment to tell me what you did.  I would love to read them.  Thanks for nipping in today and have a smashing day x

Friday

Beautiful You

Good morning.

Yesterday was lovely, lots of visits and lots of catching up, ended with a lovely meal in the newly refurbished Clock Warehouse....I have been very spoilt.

I still have to spend some time in the craft room to make a few more tags and Paul's Christmas card but I do have this card to share with you, somethingI have made this recently.  It is a sneak peak of something coming up in the Spring Catalogue.

And this is inside the card

Loving this set, it is called Beautiful You and I think it will be on a lot of people's wish list.

Off to get a few chores finished so that I can get in the craft room for an hour later today.  I am having a morning at home as I know a few people are hoping to call in.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a wonderful day x

Thursday

Accounts in the bag

Good morning and what a good morning it is.  I have just spent the last hour finishing off my accounts as we have to take them in to the accountant.  I have been doing them all year but not put them all together so that is another job out of the way.  I was hoping to do my own accounts but I didnt know you had to apply to the tax people to do this, very early in the year....lesson learnt.

A busy day yesterday, well as busy for me as I can at the moment.  A little walking and the fresh air felt wonderful.  Half an hour in town and then the grandchildren in the afternoon.  A lovely day.  Today I have a little visiting to do myself and then I hope to spend an afternoon or an evening in the craft room making more tags.  Can you believe that we have ran out again lol.  Paul wants to wrap presents but no tags.  I do have Pauls Christmas card to make too so another lovely day in store.

Here are the last of the Christmas cards that I havent shared with you yet.

There will be a Stampin' Up! order going in on 28th so if you would like anything, please do let me know.

Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day, whatever you are doing.  Tracey x

Wednesday

Santa Boxes

Good morning.  It was warmer at 5am than it is now and the forecast is for another cold one brrrr.

Here are the cute little santa boxes we made at the fuddle

Thank you to Pam, Sheila and Alison for all their help in getting these cut out, it really is appreciated.  Without your help, they couldnt have been made.

We have had a busy few days as mum was rushed into hospital on Saturday via a 999 call.  Thankfully she is now a lot better and at home, phew.  So today it is catching up with accounts, delivering the last of the cards and hopefully tomorrow, the last of the present shopping, then I will be ready....I think *giggles*

As I have been up since silly o'clock, I have been updating the blog.....as you do.  I have put some information on the events page for things that are happening in January.  If you need more information please, do let me know.

Off to start my day, thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely Wednesday x

Tuesday

Catching Up

Good morning, I had a lie in today, tut tut.

I am hoping that the craft room will be all sorted by lunch time.  Paul is going to do some moving round of the chairs and laying the table cloths with me and then it will be ready to craft, craft and craft.  I have managed to do a couple of birthday cards but one more still to do and of course, Pauls Christmas card....I always struggle with it.

Here is a card I made for Christmas which I really love

You cant see all the glitter on it, which is a shame but I will be doing more of these, especially since Stampin' Up! are bringing back the watercolour pencils.....which I adore.

Today I hope to catch up with all the emails that I havent had chance to reply to yet and, in the future I shall be making Mondays my catch up day.  A New Year's resolution if you like, will you be making any for next year?

Wishing you a fantastic day and thank you so much for having a read x

Monday

Magical Monday

Good morning and brrr it is very cold out there.  I havent heard the weather man today but I will be wrapping up warm.

We managed to get into town on Saturday morning but not for long, it was very pleasant, not too many people, a few festivities around and my feet were pain free for a while so it was nice.

Today I hope to nip out to deliver those last cards and get the craft room ready to use again.

Here are a couple of cards I have made and and I will be making a few more at next years Christmas Card nights.

A bit of a close up

Off to get myself warm, thanks for having a read and hope you have a magical Monday  Tracey x

Saturday

It is starting to look a lot like Christmas

Good morning and here I am up with the larks.  Today it is going to be around 7 degrees, a little cooler than earlier in the week but still not freezing and still no sign of the white stuff, which is okay I think.  Larnaca is going to be around 11 degrees so they will really feel the big drop in temperature, wrap up well girls.  I think they will as they have lots of hats and scarves although the houses are built to stay cold brrrrrr.  I think I will stay in my craft room and turn the heating up high

A little bit achy today but not too much but it is no surprise, we had a wonderful fuddle last night.  A big THANK YOU goes out to everyone for all your help.  The craft room turned into a  Christmasy room, we had carols from Michael Bauble all evening, lots of refrehsments and the food well......the table was piled high. It was a wonderful evening, we had a quiz, played charades, secret santa, a make and take and ended with the 'framed photo collection'.

We had two heats to see who the winners were

Alison, Denise and Sheila were the finalists but

Alison won the race.  Oh we did laugh

Pam and Jayne found the mistletoe

We were all framed

Quite a few people couldnt make it to the fuddle and we did miss you.  Hope those that are poorly start to feel better soon and I look forward to seeing you in the week.

Here is another Christmas card that I made and sent out

Well, I have a few pots to clear up and the Christmas decorations to put up so I will get a wiggle on.  Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful Saturday. x

UPDATED for Tricia                                       2015

                                                                         2016

Friday

Another rockin' robin

Good morning.  Mr. Weatherman says we are going to have some rain today and a high of 10 degrees.  We can cope with that.  Larnaca is going to be warmer with 15 degrees and a drizzle, the girls are now wearing boots and jackets and feeling the chill oops.

Today is the day of the crafting fuddle.  If you would like to join us but havent yet said you are coming along, dont worry you are most welcome to join in,  just let me know so that I can make sure there are enough makes and takes for you.

Here is another Christmas card that I made and that has been posted out.

The image and sentiment have both been in my stash for a while.

Waving at *rachel* this morning.  I hope your new goodies arrive soon.

Yesterday I thought I would have a day of pottering, putting things away slow time as everything I do is in slow time.  I finished around 7pm last night and then Paul gets all the Christmas decorations out of the loft *giggling*.  This morning it looks like someone had a party while we were in bed.  Oh well, I have all day to get it straight.

I hope you have a lovely day, whatever you are up and thank you so much for having a read x

Thursday

Happy Birthday Pam

Good morning and it is really going to be a good day weather wise. It is already 9 degrees and it will go up to about 11 degrees today, which is fine by me.

Yesterday I played postman, stamp and deliver as well as normal post and hand deliveries.  I think I have 3 more to pop through doors but I wont be driving today, my hands are quite poorly at the moment, swollen, painful and very red.  Hopefully they will get better as the day goes on and I can take a walk out later with cards.

I went out for tea last night, get me.  It was wonderful and I met some really nice ladies.  It was for Pams special birthday today, she has had a couple of celebrations for the big day.  Here is the card I made for her

I went to the doctors yesterday and have been signed off work until the middle of February.  As I have the end of a cold and a chesty cough I can not go for my first injection training today which is a blow.  I now have to wait until early in the new year, drat.  Never mind, I will get there in the end.

Today it is a day of pottering which I am looking forward to.  I am getting all excited at being ready, finally for the big mans visit.  Decorations will go up over the weekend.

Off to start the medication regime.....thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day x

Wednesday

Birthday cards

Good morning and the forecast for today, if you didnt already know, here in Derby is going to be 11 degrees with lots of clouds.  Not a problem as I think most of today will be spent in the house.

My aching hands and aching feet may have to ache for a little longer.  I should be seeing the doctor tomorrow for the methotrexate injection but I will have to call them today as my cough has got worse and I dont think that they will want me at the clinic...we shall see.  I do have a doctors appointment at the GP's today which get confusing.  Anything not relating to RA is the GP and so I shall be going for a check up after my hospital visit. When I rang for the appointment they offered me 28th December.  I asked to see my usual GP but he isnt available and will soon be leaving, the other GP I wanted to see has left and so my third choice only works Thursday and Friday so ring back next Thursday to see if he has any space!!! So today I am seeing someone that I dont know and will just have to hope for the best.  At least we have doctors that we an see.

Yesterday was our nephews daughters birthday, twins that are 14 and here are the cards that I made.

I have used very loved Penny Black Stamps for the images, a smashing Happy Birthday stamp from Stampin' Up and I have coloured the imaged in using the Stampin' Up! markers.  Of course there is lots of dazzling diamonds on the cards too but it doesnt show up so much on the photograph, my photography skills have not improved so much over the years.

All the Christmas cards have been written and I shall be posting them out later this morning.  I have just one card left in the box......I asked Paul if I should make some more, just in case and he laughed at me *oops*.  Fingers crossed that I didnt miss anyone.

I met a lovely young lady last night, Simona *waving* at you and hope to see you again soon.

The girls are all well in Cyprus.  Sophia is chasing a job that she was discussing just before she came over, Katerina is also trying to find full time employment.  Christiana is still struggling with her cough and cold but lets hope that the warmer weather will help her.

Off to make more tea, thanks for having a read and wishing you a wonderful day x

Tuesday

Everyday Hero

Good morning.  I am sniffling less but coughing more, oops.  At least I have had a good nights sleep, cup half full and all that.

I was lucky enough to get one of the new stamps from the Spring/Summer catalogue and made a card for a neighbour.  It is from a set called Everyday Hero

Something totally different for me but I was quite pleased with it.

Pam, Alison and Sheila came round yesterday to turn the craft room into a party room whoop whoop.  If you are coming along to the fuddle, could you let me know what you are bringing food wise please.  I am really looking forward to seeing everyone and thanks to Sheila and Alison, the make and take is just about ready.  Dont forget to bring a bit of sticky stuff.

Another Stampin' Up! order is to be made on 28th December, I shall send out an email to let everywhere know where they can order from, all the special offers etc. etc. as I know it can get a little confusing. If there is anything that you just cant live without, please let me know.

Off for a smooch today, a slow walk to a couple of shops.  Got to try and get a little festive and I really do need the fresh air.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a terrific Tuesday x

Monday

Christmas Card

Good morning, it is going to be around 10 degrees today the weather man says but to be honest, it is so foggy outside at the moment it is spooky.  Oh, we are in for some showers too.

I am still sniffling and still using Vicks.  As well as all the usual medication, I have added Paracetamol to the mix too, fighting this cold like a trooper.  I was up at 5am in need of tea so I may have to have a little snooze this afternoon.

Yesterday came and went in a flash.  No sooner had I got up and sorted and had a wonderful hour with Anna, it was time for lunch.  The afternoon was spent in the craft room and what a mess I made, well sometimes you just have to.  So today I shall get that put straight.

Here is another little Christmas card that I rescued.

I only have Paul's Christmas card to make now and a week to do it in so that should be fine.  He tells me he is breaking up from work on Friday whoop whoop.  Hopefully we will be able to get the decorations up a little earlier this year.

Right, off to make MORE tea and to take the medication....thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day x
