Friday

Happy Birthday Christiana

Good morning and here comes another weekend.  Today in Derby it is going to be around 16 degrees with showers in the afternoon.

Today is a very special day, it is Christiana's birthday, she will be 32, wow, those years have flown by.  She has organised herself a birthday party with all her friends and her family and the cake well, I cant show you until tomorrow but it is a stunner.

The postman took the card that I made for her  a couple of weeks ago and here it is

Lots of sparkle on it which doesn't really show up on here, I do hope she likes it.  Just a couple of days and she will be here and I hope to take her for a tea in one of the tea shops that have been recommended.

As it is the end of the month, there is a SU order going in this evening.  If there is anything that you would like please do get in touch before 5pm.

Tomorrow is World Card Making Day and to celebrate Stampin' Up! have some offers.

As tomorrow is world card making day, if you want to make a card, you are welcome to bring your bits and pieces and make it in my craft room at anytime between 10.00 - 4.00 I will be in there trying to make a few crafty bits....I can but try.    Here are the offers from SU starting tomorrow. You may need to click on the image to see all the details.

Should you wish to place an order to celebrate the day, you can pop in and do it over a cuppa or let me know by e-mail.  I shall submit the order on Sunday and, if the order meets a minimum total, each person who places an order will get a little something.

Off to start my day with a little potter.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a great Friday

Wednesday

Midweek Musing

Good afternoon, quite warm outside so I will be out there in a bit, getting some fresh air.

One of the Christmas boxes I made recently.  Stampin' Up! had some boxes with a thick acetate cover.  All I have done is made a lid for my box, added a couple of Christmas stamps and some ribbon and there we go, no need to wrap.

I have been pottering in the green house and taken the last of the cucumbers off the plant, here is a photo of the the last two

Just as I was about to cut the last leaves off, I discovered yet another tiny cucumber.  I am not sure if it will do anything, I will let you know.

The tomatoes are about finished.  I have a bowl full ready to make into soup for when the girls arrive in a few weeks time.
I keep joking to Paul that we need another freezer, just for all the meals I am freezing, oops.

I havent made it into the craft room yet, although I have tried a few times.  Maybe tomorrow when I feel a little more up to it.

Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day.  Tracey x

Monday

Lawn at last

Good morning and it is going to be a wet day today I am told.  That is good as it means that the new lawn wont need so much watering.

Yes the lawn, path and garden are finished WHOOP WHOOP.  I am really pleased with it and cant believe the difference it has made.  The workmen finished Friday night and someone is coming later in the week to sort out the drive and pavement so viola.

I have spent the whole weekend outside, really.  We (the royal we) have planted some lovely poorly corner plants that have to be taken care of , I have swept paths, we have watered and it has been wonderful.  The fresh air has really made me sleep well at night and to be honest, only a few aches and pains.

I havent been in the craft room since Thursday so today I will spend as much time as I am able to in there, once it is warm.  Here is another card from a kit I have finished off.  This kit was purchased at least 5, maybe 6 or even 7 years ago.

It is tablet day today and I am hoping that the nasties wont hit until a bit later on in the day meaning, I am getting used to taking them...we shall see.

I shall try to catch up with emails as soon as I can but there are just not enough hours in the day, opps.

Hope your weekend has been as good as mine.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day.

Thursday

Card Kit

Good morning, just. The sun is out and its going to be around 20 degrees today, which will be nice.

No workmen today, they are coming back tomorrow to lay the lawn, clean up and do all the finishing touches.  They still have to come to repair the drive and the pavement as they have damaged both.

I am feeling a little better today compared to yesterday, which is a bonus.

Here is a card from a kit I made up.

I must say that the kit wasn't too well put together.  I had to trim it down quite a bit to make it fit but it is just fine for my box of cards.  I have lots of little sentiments to add to the card when I know who it is for.  I do have quite a lot of kits that need putting together so when I am fit and able, that is what I shall be doing.  The craft room still needs a good tidy but I am doing that bit by bit.  It will be finished one day.

Right, off to make a bit of lunch before pottering again.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a wonderful Thursday x

Wednesday

Cheers

Good morning. Another cooler day, autumn is on its way.

We had the chappies here ALL day yesterday and here is the progress

We hope to have it done by the weekend.

I am feeling a little better today, headache and upset tum still there but not so light headed and feeling like I have a hangover.  I do keep going extremely hot though and my face is very red oops.  Only a bit of a potter for me for the day.

Here is another card that I made recently, using up more papers.

Today is the last day of the Special Offers and the clearance rack still has some wonderful prices on goodies. If you would like anything, please do let me know.

I hope to be in my craft room tomorrow, having a little tidy up and play, if I can.  Kettle will be on all day if you fancy a cuppa and a crafty chat.

That's it from me for today, have a wonderful Thursday.

Tuesday

Thank You

Good morning, the workmen came in this morning singing "oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day", I hope that means that they are going to stay all day and get some more work done on the front garden.

Whilst there is no sunshine and it is a bit chilly, it is not raining.  The weather man says maybe a drizzle later but just cloudy all day.  I dont mind as I am not feeling the best.  I know that as the day progresses I will pick up a bit.

Here is a lovely little card I received from Tricia

Isnt it the sweetest card, thank you Tricia, it is always lovely to receive cards.

That's all for today, I will go see what is on day time TV.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a wonderful day.  Tracey x

Monday

Monday's Bag

Good afternoon, a little later than normal but that's okay.  I went out for a bit of a stroll this morning, the fresh air makes me feel a lot more awake.

Medication day today so fingers crossed that things don't get too bad.

I have made a few bags for ladies in the pen club.  Each lady gets a selection of pens each month, for 6 months and I try to decorate the packaging each time a little differently.  This is the one for this month.

I am sure everyone likes them.

The gardeners came and left this morning.  They said as it was wet and going to rain all day, they couldnt put the sand down.....half an hour after they left it stopped raining, it is breezy and damp but no rain.  They didnt come back.

Wishing you a lovely Monday and thank you for having a read.  Tracey x

Sunday

Sunday's Sort Out

Good morning and here we are, half way through the weekend.

It was my neices birthday recently and here is the card that I made for her.

One of my favourite stamps which unfortunately is no longer available.

Paul was home Friday and he helped with lots of chores that I wasnt able to do myself, which was great.  He took me out and about in the afternoon just to the local shops but the fresh air made a big difference.  Yesterday we had a half wander at Ikea, I couldnt manage all of it and then the grandchildren came for a couple of hours.  I have also had a good catchup with some friends that I havent seen for a while and the world has been put to rights.

The chappies came Friday morning and did a little more in the garden but not a lot as it started to rain Here is the progress.

Lets hope they come and do a lot more tomorrow.

Today it is a sort out Sunday.  I am sorting out lots of bits and pieces, with Paul's help of course.  As usual, the craft room door will be open ALL DAY if you fancy a cuppa as I have had a good sort out in there too.

I think we (the royal we) will be ending the day in the garden and we are trying to get rid of the weeds and tree stumps.  Paul works I supervise and take him drinks as and when I can.

Stampin' Up! still have lots of lovely things on offer in the clearance and on the Special Offers.  There are also some wonderful items in the Winter Catalogue and my next order will be going in on Tuesday.  If you would like anything, please do let me know.  I am expecting an order or two tomorrow and Wednesday so if you have something on order, watch out for my email later in the week.

Have a wonderful Sunday and thanks for having a read.  Tracey

Thursday

More Offers

Good morning and its going to be a cooler one today, slightly.  It seems that the rain is coming tomorrow, never mind.

Me, apart from my hands being awkward and still and a little painful, that is it.  Phew so a day to try to get back to being human.

This is how we are starting our day on the front of the house

It was nephews birthday recently and this is the card that was made.

I have visitors this afternoon in the craft room, always great to see crafty friends, in fact, crafty friends are the only friends I have *giggles*. If you are in the area this afternoon and fancy a cuppa, please pop in.

More items on the Special Offers for this week.

More details can be found if you click on the link  HERE
If you would like anything, please let me know as a little order will be placed over the weekend.

Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day x

Wednesday

Auntie

Good morning, a little more human today but still not the best.  I believe that as the day goes on, I will improve.

The workmen came yesterday and made a great start on the the paving and it is starting to look good, we did however make a few changes to it last night and I am not sure what the chappies will say when they eventually turn up and see what we have done.  Can you believe that a young man who was delivering a leaflet this morning, actually went and kicked the stones, spoiling the pattern?  I was just opening my curtains and I saw him grrrr.  They have still left a mess outside on the pavement and road and these are both damaged.

This is how we started the day today

Well I managed to get a few things from the Stampin' Up! clearance yesterday but not everything.  We shall have to see what turns up but a big thank you to Claire who helped me with this.  I wasn't able to do it on my own.  I think she is turning into my Tuesday PA.

It was Aunty Vals birthday last week and here is the card that I made for her.

That's it for today, thanks for having a read.  If you fancy a crafty chat and a cuppa (which you may be making yourself), why not pop by tomorrow afternoon?  I will be home and a little more human. Have a lovely day x

Monday

Catch Up

Good morning and what a beautiful morning it is out there.  It was lovely and fresh went I put the rubbish out, so much so that I had a little wander around the garden, just really looking at the flowers with that morning dew on them....wonderful.

Hope that you have had a smashing weekend and just where did it go?  Katerina called me on Friday via face time, from a beach in Cyprus with her sisters and cousin and friends.  I love modern technology as it lets me chat to them, hear them laughing, see the sunshine and be a part of their day, all those miles away. So lucky.

I managed to drive myself to the hospital on Friday to have blood tests, that is the first time I have driven in a while and to honest, I dont think I could drive too far or for too long but blood tests have been done.  I have to go again in two weeks.  Never mind, this is all supposed to be helping me so I will give it a chance.

It was Christmas card and chatter get together Friday night and again ladies, it was a lovely night. Thanks to everyone that came as you made it special.  We put the world to rights, caught up on all the  news and the time just flew by.

Saturday Pam picked me up and took me out for the day.  We saw some amazing views as we drove quite a way through the Pennines.  Again the sun was shinning and it got quite warm.  Crafting shopping was involved of course and we had a great day out.  It is so nice to escape the four walls of home, although I do love my home, it was wonderful to be out. I took quite a few photos and when I went to download them yesterday from my phone, they weren't there.  In fact, none of my photos for a couple of days was there.  I rang Paul but he couldnt help, I was on the net, turn phone off, then on.  Do all the updates etc. etc. but no luck.  Pam did suggest going back to take the photos again.  Well last night, early morning I woke up and wondered *did I have too many photos on my phone* So I have just had a luck. Imagine my surprise 2018 photos OMG.  I shall start to delete some later today, opps.

The garden today doesnt look any different today as it did last Thursday because the chappies didnt come back Thursday afternoon.  They turned up at 9.30 Friday morning to tell me that they had spent an hour at the walk in center as boss cant walk and they have referred him to the Royal for an X ray, which is where they were going.  I know they aren't coming today so let us see what Tuesday will bring.  What a palarver.

I am struggling to craft, as you can imagine but, I have been doing some kits and this is one that I have made

Right, I had best get drinking that water, ready for the day ahead.  I shall be pottering should anyone fancy a cuppa, up to about 3pm and then I am best left alone until Thursday, opps.  Hoping you have a lovely day and if you made it reading it all until the end, have a lovely day

P.S.  Check the Clearance rack tomorrow morning, early and should you wish to purchase anything, dont forget to use SEPTEMBERS hostess code for anything less than £150 x

Thursday

Special Offers

Morning, who is feeling a little more human today, phew.  I will feel even better after a cuppa.  Fingers dont work so well at the moment but I am sure they will get warmed up in a bit.

So this is how we are starting the day today

As the paving stones have arrived, I think a little more will get done and maybe we shall have the start of a path today.

Stampin' Up! have some more special offers.  These offers only last a week so if you would like anything, please do let me know.

I have a little order going in this evening, a lady would like the the santa bundle and cant wait until the next Stamperettes order.  She says there are lots of wonderful ideas on pinterest for this so an order will be placed.

Off to start my day the best I can. Hope you have a wonderful Thursday and if you fancy a cuppa this afternoon, it will be lovely to see you.  Tracey x

Wednesday

Thank Yous

Hello from a very muggy Derby.  It was 18 degrees when I woke up this morning and the forecast is for 24 by mid afternoon.  I think I know a cool place to spend these hot hours.

Yesterday wasnt a good day for me nor the garden.  The garden path stones havent turned up.  The chappie went to order them on Monday for a Tuesday delivery to be told that they were not in stock.  They should have been delivered yesterday but they are not here.  He has been to the company this morning, still not arrived.  Hopefully they will come at lunchtime so that they can continue.  Never mind, it will get done when it gets done.

I had a very off day yesterday but not dwelling on it.  Today I am slightly better and by tomorrow, I will be better still so, if you fancy a cuppa and a chat tomorrow please, do pop in after 1pm.  Please dont use the front gate, you are best to use the gate by my car as the front will be a trip hazard.

As promised, here are some more thank you cards I have made with more papers and matching tags. I really cant believe how many 12 x 12 papers I have.

Tomorrow Stampin' Up! has some NEW special offers and I will share with you what they are, as soon as I can.

It is Christmas card club on Friday night, please do let me know if you hope to be there.  Nothing home baked from me I am afraid....cant manage that just yet.

Thanks for having a read and have a lovely evening. x

Tuesday

All change

Good morning. It is supposed to be 24 degrees today which is a tad hot.

Mr. UPS man walked all through the mud and stones yesterday to deliver a few parcels, bless him.  The orders have arrived, just in time for me to place another one tut tut.  I shall spend today sorting them all out, as best I can.  I am not the best today I am afraid, headache, neusea, tiredness and generally not very well.  Hopefully I will pick up as the day goes on.

If you have anything you wish to add to my next order, please let me know before lunch time tomorrow.

I am trying to use up lots of lovely papers I have so I decided to try my hand at different thank you cards this month, here are the first few.

I have teamed up so retired papers with some brightly coloured card.  Speaking of papers, I have lots of 12 x 12 at half price so if you fancy a visit, please get in touch.  I am also very happy to post it out too.  More cards will follow as and when I make them.

At 8.30 yesterday 2 chappies turned up to start the garden. At 8.40 a mini digger and 4 more chappies turned up and by 9.30 all the crazy paving was up and put in piles, the digger left.  At 10am a grab lorry came and started to collect all the blocks of crazy paving, he made a couple more trips.  At 2pm the hard core arrived and the path was starting to take shape.  At 3.30 it was down tools until today.  I was very impressed with all the work they have done on day 1.  Fingers crossed that they will clean the pavements before they leave today, that has let them down.

At the start of the day

 At 10.30 am

 At 4pm

That's it from me for today, off to have a quiet day, despite the workers being outside with their radio on full blast.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a wonderful Tuesday.
