Tuesday's Twitter

Good morning and thanks for nipping in today for a read.  Fingers crossed the internet works and I
get to post this out.

Here is another card made recently.

I have taken to making up a few kits I purchased as I find it really relaxing and very inspirational.  There are always lots and lots of wonderful bits and pieces left over from the kits which inspires me to make a few more cards, along a similar theme.  If you want to find out a little more about these kits, do let me know.  I think they are great presents and I know that Santa will be taking some to the grandchildren this year.

We got the birthday cake ordered yesterday, the food ordered and then got told more people would be coming along to Christianas birthday lunch. Whilst we have been here the numbers have risen from the 5 of us, to 10 of us and now it's 24, yikes.  But I will take it I. My stride and we shall have a perfect day.

Off to eat breakfast in the sunshine, have a great day X

Sunday

Sizzling Sunday

sat here with ac on and it's only 7am phew, it is going to be another warm one.

Well the last few days have been rather busy. We have spent most of it with our Cypriot family in Larnaka. Seen my sis in law who lives in Belgium, had some lovely food cooked by my Cypriot mum and spent time with girls.  We have got all their books and files etc purchased for the start on uni for Sophia and the start of Katerinas 'bar' exams.  Katerina has to attend classes 3 times a week in the capital, Nicosia.  Sophia's Uni is also in Nicosia but at different times of the day so that means, another car is needed, opps.

We haven't made it to the beach for quite a long time now but perhaps today we can take a wander there.  It's the first time we are on our own, but it won't last.
Here is another Christmas card that I made before the holidays, it needs a bit of glitter to make it sparkle and shine.

I shall be doing a little crafting today whoop whoop, got a few bits to finish off before Christianas birthday in Wednesday
If there are any stamperettes reading this, or anyone else that would like to place an order for stampin' up goodies, could you let me know what you would like please. I am on Facebook or you can email me. My phone doesn't seem to be working too well here

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day xx

Good morning from a very still Proteras. There is no wind, it is so still, very peaceful and the temperature is expected to be around 31 degrees.  We had lots of cloud yesterday but no rain as promised.

We all managed to get out and about for a couple of hours yesterday and we went to see the cake shops ready to order Christiana's birthday cake.  Not sure what the plans are for today but I do know that the twins are joining us tonight.

At the last Christmas card get together I managed to start a set of these cards, I haven't finished them yet but hope to do so at our next get together.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a great day x

Monday

Monday morning feeling , not today

Very cloudy today and around 29 degrees so we are off for a jaunt out to nearest village for a wander, a coffe and then hopefully down to the beach for our late afternoon dip.

Did you know that for £99 you can join Stampin' Up!  If you join you get lots of paperwork and office supplies worth £45 at no cost at all which includes catalogues, order forms and promotional information.  Then, you get to pick £130 worth of Stampin' Up! goodies and pay £99 for it.  All your goodies are then shipped to you, free of charge.  If you would like more information about this please, get in touch and I can explain it in more detail.

Here is another card that I recently put an insert in to put it into the box. It is from the stampin up traveler stamp set, really good for men's cards.

Don't forget, if you would like to order anything from stampin' up! You can get your goodies delivered direct to your door.

Off to clear the breakfast pots, hope you have a lovely day and thanks for having a read.

Sunday

Seasons greetings on a warm Sunday

Good morning from a rather breezy Protaras. Temperatures have dropped for today to 29 degrees with cloud and showers tonight, I think we can cope with that.
Last night we had Sophia and Christiana stay with us so we took a stroll down 'the stretch' as we have always called it (this is the main beach road with all the shops and tavernas in the center of Protaras). Had a smashing meal so I pinched the place setting which I can use as a 12 x 12 layout and I got the girls to take lots of snapshots with a selfie stick.  I feel a scrapbook page coming on lol.

I was home for 10pm which was when the girls did a quick check on makeup and off they went out to Asia Napa.  I don't know what tome they got home but they are still fast asleep in bed.

I have been busy making a few Christmas cards from a kit over the last couple of weeks.  Here is one of them, still needs the glitter and crystal clear but a lovely card.

No orders for stamin up going in today but there will be next week.  Please do let me know if you would like to order anything.

Thanks fir having a read and have a lovely Sunday xx

Sizzling Saturday

I was surprised that today is Saturday, the days are whizzing past. After a little food shop the girls will pop to see us, maybe stay or maybe not.

Woke up to blue skies and a forecast of 33 degrees today (yikes says Jackie).  We won't be doing too much, again.  Yesterday was another chilled day, reading, a swim in the sea, get dressed, a stroll and then a meal and the day is done, smashing.  There I was wondering how I was going to manage doing nothing for a while and goodness me, it's so easy.

Here is a card I made for Aunty Val's birthday.

I am not getting itchy fingers yet but if I do, I have a couple of projects to finish.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely Saturday x

Thursday

At last

It has taken a few days to get the internet sorted and be able to access the blog but we have done it, but on my phone.
So here we are enjoying some sunshine and spending time with the girls.  It is hot phew. We haven't made it to the beach as yet but we hope to do that later today.

Short but sweet

Good morning on this rather damp Monday morning.

After a wonderful weekend its a bit of a mad dash to finish everything off this morning but I will.  More posts from warmer weather tomorrow.

As promised, here is the card that I made for Wills birthday yesterday

Again, it is another card that I am happy to show you how to make sometime in October.

Sorry its short but sweet, thanks for having a read x

Saturday

Happy Birthday Amy

Good morning form a soggy Derby.  Yes it is raining and the forecast is for a damp day but it isnt cold, which is good news.

Last night was smashing.  It was Christmas card and chatter night and lots of lovely ladies turned up for a cuppa, a chat, some to make cards, some to collect goodies so thank you to all for making it another great night.  We put the world to rights and today, its a lot better place.

I am still trying to catch up on cards to share with you so the Christmas from last night will come later in the week.

It was Amy's birthday yesterday (niece not grandaughter).

I made this card and have sorted myself out with a template so I should be able to make a few more in a couple of months time a little quicker.  It was something that I saw on pintrest and thought awwww cute.  If you would like to have a go at making this, keep your eyes on the blog to find out the date that I will have an evening of making a few and come along to join in.  Sometime in November I think.

Today I am off into town.  I have to return a couple of items and get my toe nails all dressed ready for next week. Then its back in the craft room to finish off a project, get a few birthday cards sorted and then that should be my chores done for the day.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wondering Saturday xx

Friday

Cards for the Birthday Box

Phew, its Friday and its going to be warm (sorry Jackie).  No time to play with new crafty bits and pieces but I will get time tonight as its Christmas card and chatter get together and I am hoping lots of ladies pop in to collect bags of goodies, say hello and manage to stay for a quick cuppa.  I have to get finger out and tidy crafty space up as it's been rather productive (messy) in there the last couple of days.

It was Aunty Vals birthday yesterday but I cant share her card.  She is abroad and I dont think she will have taken it with her, she does read the blog *waving*  It is Amy's birthday today, our niece, but I know she wont have her card till lunch time so again, I cant share that.....over the weekend I will catch up.  I can share 2 more cards that are going in the box though.

We made these in a crafty class and I have just finished off the inserts for them.

Conservatory saga....A chappie turned up, sent by Cloudy to Clear to look at damage to see if he could repair it.  He is proposing to put a plastic resin inside all the holes, sand it all down and whilst the colour will be different, it will block the holes up.  He said he would also take out all the panes of glass, clean the bottom of the units that have all the dirt and put the glass back.  He will also clean all the windows!  He sounds a nice chappy but because he said he has to drill the holes to be even bigger before he starts the work has frightened me a bit.  I left it that as soon as Cloudy to Clear tell me he can do the work, we will book it in but, I am not sure.  As we still have leaking windows,  I rang up and out David came, chiselled away plastic and off he went but before he left, he told me that the chappie that came out to look at the damage, was probably the brother in law of the manager of Cloudy to Clear!!! oh dear

Right, I had best get myself off to work, thanks for having a read and have a lovely day x

Flower Faces

Good morning on this very foggy day, yes in Derby we have started the day all foggy out there, yikes.  I am sure it will soon clear though.

I have been a very busy little bee (and Paul has hogged the computer) so not able to post too much.

Here are this weeks weekly deals and, dont forget to check out all the goodies in the clearance rack.  The sweater trim is just perfect for those tags at Christmas time.

All orders will be here by this evening WHOOP WHOOP.  I had a couple of outstanding items that are due today.  The Christmas goodies arrived yesterday so lots and lots of SU goodies, crafty space looks like a SU shop.  Please feel free to call in tomorrow evening to pick up your parcels whilst we are having Christmas Card and Chatter Club or stay for a few hours and catch up.

Here are a few more cards that have made it into the for sale box, all made with SU flower stamps that I no longer own, silly me.

Is anyone local to me and able to accept a box or two over the next couple of weeks?  If you are, would you get in touch.

Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day x

Sunday

Smashing Sunday

Good morning on this lovely sunday, not yet 9am and the washer is on for the second time, the first lot is already on the line.  Busy bee today.

Last night, the garage alarm went off, again.  Not too sure what we are going to do about that *sorry neighbours*

Paul came home whoop whoop so it was a lovely afternoon and evening.  He came home with a brown paper bag with this inside, oh you know how I love my tins....

And there are 4 pairs of socks inside.  He said I was more excited about the actual packaging than the insides, opps, he knows me so well.

The conservatory saga continues - after hearing nothing for a week I called the company again on Friday.  If you recall I had work done and the lads drilled from the inside of the conservatory all the way to the outside leaving holes and damaged the window frame and window sill.   Manager came round to inspect and said he would send David.  David turned up and wanted to put a couple of old plastic bits over the holes, to which I said no.  Well, David was supposed to come back this week and he hasnt so, I have complained again.  It now appears that the company are not sure if it was the Manager that came out to see the damage or not?  The company have told me that they now want to send someone who deals with frames out to fix the problem but he is on holiday.  I am to get a phone call on tomorrow with more information, not a happy bunny over this.  I will let you know what happens next.

It is Christmas Card and Chatter on Friday night.  If you are coming along, please let me know so that I know how many to cater for (and to make sure we have enough chairs).

Thanks for having a read, have a smashing Sunday x

Saturday

Hello Honey

I was up at 6.30 on this Saturday morning but its was so peaceful (apart from the humming of the fridge) and its the weekend.

I have had one of the SU boxes delivered whoop whoop.  I shall sort it out this afternoon and hopefully get it into the right hands over the weekend. I shall be in touch later today but if you are in the area, do let me know.  Oh, it isnt the Christmas bits lol, now that would have been quick.

So who was up and out like a yoyo last night? moi, the garage alarm kept going off, puff.  I feel sorry for my neighbours who all came out of their homes when the alarm started.  It is lovely to know that people took the time to make sure I was okay.  Thankfully Mr. A is home today and can have a look at it, I expect it is a spider just making a new home across the sensor or something.

Here are the thank you cards for this months orders.  I have used wild about flowers which is a lovely set with old olive and hello honey. Of course we have the matching tags.

The little thanks stamp is from the One Big Meaning stamp set.

I have done a few chores in town and now I have the rest of the day to spend with Mr A, when he turns up.  Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful Saturday x
