Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

Tuesdays twitter soon comes around and what have we got for today.

Well to start with I had a lovely evening last night, thank you ladies.  I am so sorry that this was our last one together and you know exactly where I am if you need me.  Looking forward to seeing you all at the end of May, if not before.  I spent the evening with 4 wonderful ladies in Ripley and we had a crafty night in.

Tonight I have another lovely evening planned, crafting at mine.  People will think that crafting is all I do and its not true.  I work every morning, I do all my chores at home and, when time permits, do a bit of scrapbooking too.

So today is the day that SU (that is Stampin' Up! for those that may not know), have their SALE A BRATION and Spring/Summer mini catalogue go live.

I shall put the links up as soon as I get in from work today, just no time at breakfast.

Lots and lots of new products  to look at, to ponder over, to add to the wish list.  My number is 01332 721877 and I would be really happy to help you make your choices of crafting goodies if you need a hand.  There really is so much at the moment so if you fancy a cuppa and a browse through the catalogues, minis and everything else, give me a call and we can arrange to meet up.  I have seen so many wonderful things created that I already have my wish list ready and the first order will be going in today so, if you would like to add to this order, let me know.

If you fancy crafting on Thursday afternoon or Friday evening, I still have a couple of places left.  Give me a ring and I can tell you more.  This is for beginners and the more experienced crafter and the events are taking place in Allenton, Derby.

TAH DAH
I dont think I have shared this with you
It is made using the new card and envelope kit, which really is smashing.  Thick watercolour card feel and already coloured.  All I have done is stamp the image and the sentiment.  Its smaller than I would normally use but as the envelopes are included, its a lovely way to send a quick hello, thank you or birthday card.  You can get 20 of these for £11.95, there are 4 each of 5 designs and are lovely.  If you would like to see them in the flesh, please give me a call and we can arrange a get together or just let me know and I can order a pack for you.

I had a Christmas pressie from my sis of bulbs and we planted them up a couple of weeks ago well, look at these.

I really dont know what they are but I will keep taking the photos.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful and dry day.

Monday

Monday morning again

Congratulations Sue.  She rang me yesterday to let me know that she has the winning raffle ticket so we shall have a get together later today over coffee of course.

Well yesterday I walked up and down my stairs at home so many times, putting things away.  I still havent done it all though, hopefully by the end of today it will be just about there.

Lots of bringing down the stairs to do tonight for the ladies arriving tomorrow night.  I have another full house as we shall craft the evening away.

I can show you this card now.  It has been made quite a while but I didnt get to deliver it until Saturday.   Sally and Matt got engaged and this is the card that I made for them.

I have another few cards to share with you tomorrow as my aunt and uncle have birthdays this week, now did I put them in the post? I must check that later.

Early on Saturday morning I got up and went for a walk, a bit of fresh air and to clear my head before my wonderful visitors arrived.  When I went out of the front door, my acer looked as though it had diamonds all over it.  I whipped out the camera to take a photo.  What it was are little droplets of water.  it look stunning and I am sorry that I could capture the magic with the photograph but I thought I would share it with you anyway.

Thats it for now, must get myself off to work, on time today. Opps I wonder if I need to defrost the car.  Have a great day x

Sunday

Happy Birthday Tracy

What a lovely  day yesterday was *waving* at all my amazing friends that came for a cuppa, for a chat, for a play with some new stamp sets, to eat cake etc. etc. etc.  Your support means so much.  I am so sorry if you didnt make it to a wonderful day but, there will be another one in towards the end of May.

Everyone had a go at least one make and take using a brand new Sale a Bration card kit or the new watercolour cards, which proved to be really popular.  Here are just a few cards made.

Lots of cake and a special thanks to Jacqui for her Victoria Sponge which got so many great reviews.  Everyone who had a slice loved it, be careful, you may be taking orders for this soon.

I closed the front door around 5pm and thought how blessed I am to have so many lovely friends so thank you, to everyone that came along.

It would not have ran as smoothly as it did if it hadnt been for George.  George made lots of teas and coffees, washed pots, opened the door and generally was my other pair of hands so a very big THANK YOU goes to George.

We ran a raffle and the whilst the winners were present for two of the draws, there is still a winner out there with the winning ticket number of
172
Do you have this raffle ticket, if you do, please get in touch.

I think it was about 10 past 9 when I climbed into bed last night but I was up early today as I was soo cold in bed but I know that I can have another early night tonight.

If you would like to join me during crafty week, there are a few spaces available on Thursday afternoon at 2pm and on Friday evening at 7.30pm.  Please give me a call on 01332 721877 or send me an email to book your place.  More details are on my events tab at the top of the blog.

It is my friend Tracy's birthday today, I hope you dont have a hang over after your night out last night.  Here is the card that I made

The weather forecast for today is rain (we had a terrible storm at about half past 2 yesterday afternoon), so if you go out, take  your umbrella.  I am off to have another crafty day, putting things away and getting things ready for crafty week.  Thank you for having a read and have a lovely day

Saturday

Come along and join in with the crafty chatter

Today is the day and I am up early due to excitement, 4am.   It has taken me days to get everything ready (well it nearly is ready) for my open house.  The front door is open to everyone today from 10 until 4 and it would be lovely to see you, to have a cuppa, some cake and lots of crafty chatter.

Quite a few bits and pieces for sale, the SU catalogue is on hand to have a look through and please, feel free to take the latest Sale a bration brochure and Spring/Summer mini which will be available as from Tuesday 28th January.  Find out about signing up with Stampin' Up! at the amazing offer, join the Stamperettes for the next 10 months or book your own Stampin' Up! party.  You can even ask who is having the next SU party and where, get yourself an invite.

I have baked, Jacqui has baked and the kettle will be on all day.  Lots of samples to share with you, book into a class or two over the next few months or just come along for a chat.  Lots of new friends waiting to be met.

TAH DAH for today, something totally new for me.

I loved making this, getting the glue gun out and trying something different.  I hope you like it.  This is a kit where you make up the flowers, wrap the thick burlap ribbon around the wreath and then add the flowers.  Here are a few close ups of the paper flowers

It took me about 3 hours to make from start to finish.  This kit will be available to buy in the Spring/Summer catalogue from Stampin' Up! £15.95 plus p+p or why not come along and make it in a 4 hour get together with me one afternoon or evening in February?

Friday

Friday - need I say more

Its Friday and not only do I have that Friday feeling, also excited as I have my open day tomorrow.  All I have to do when I get home today is hoover and mop, set the table up for the make and takes and a little baking.

It was our Nieces' daughters' 2nd birthday yesterday and here is the card that I made for her
I do love doing my little Penny Black cards.

Only a short and sweet post as I really cant be late for work today.  I cant believe it has taken me 40 minutes to get showered and dressed and that I am already running behind.  Good job it's Friday.

I do hope you can make it tomorrow, it will be lovely to have a cuppa and a chat with you.  Have a wonderful day today and take your brolly, the forecast for the East Midlands is rain.

Wednesday

opps a daisy day

I was fortunate enough to have yesterday off work.  Well I didnt go into the office but boy, I worked.  First of all the pond was half empty so I had to top that up.  I am not sure what went wrong, if we have a root from the bamboo come through or if it was just one of those things but peeewwweeee, it did smell.

Then I dropped a cup of tea, broke a vase, broke a bottle of perfume and slid down the stairs.  Finishing my wreath I snipped my finger (those little Stampin' Up! snips are lethal).  So I think it was a good job that I didnt attempt to get in the car in the dark.  And the fog wow, it was really thick here early in the morning.

TAH DAHs

For todays cards I have used some new papers called Sweet Sorbet along with various colours of SU card and black card to matt the papers on.  The 12 x 12 papers are part of the Sale a Bration and you can get these FREE with £45 spent on products in the catalogues.  I thought they looked lovely.  I havent put any sentiments on them yet as I think that they can be used for all sorts of occassions, get well, birthday, notecards etc.

If you would like to see these in the flesh then please, do call in for a cuppa on Saturday at anytime between 10 - 4.  I am still not getting nervous or panicky about Saturday yet.

But I am sure that I will as we get closer to THE DAY.

Thanks for having a read and have a great day

Tuesday

Question

I bet you have been asking yourself the same question.  Where did yesterdays post go?  It was all typed, it had photos but it just never appeared.  I shall not loose any sleep over it, and nor will you.  So here I am, trying again, to put Monday's post on my blog for you.
Over 70 stamp sets, lots of ribbon, embossing folders, punches, ink pads, framelits etc. etc. etc.  Goodness me.  It is all on my dining room table, chairs and floor and hopefully, this time next week, some of it will be in your crafting area.  Bargains galore on retired items from Stampin' Up! I have sent out the invites, reminders, emails and put the details here, on the Blog for my Open House next Saturday.  It would be lovely to see you, yes you, the person reading this, for a cuppa and a chat and, if you have time, to do a make and take, look through the catalogues and grab youself a stamp set or two (or 3 if you want).  You can place an order, book a party or find out about the amazing offer that SU (that is short for Stampin' Up!) have if you join the SU team.  I am in Allenton, Derby and if you would like directions, please give me a call on 01332 721877.

What a day yesterday was  (that was Sunday) bringing all these bits and bobs down the stairs.  Making up beds, ironing and doing my chores.  I also made quite a few little thank yous for next Saturday using the envelope punch board, some Sale a Bration items and a few hours of patience starting a wreath.

TAH DAH
Here is my today's (yesterdays) card using lots of new things that will be available to look at, to feel and to get proper sneak peaks of on Saturday.  This has been made using some brand new card kits that are due out on 28th January from Stampin' Up!, a nice thick feel to them.  The bakers twine is in the Sale a Bration as are the Banner Punch and Banner Stamp Set.

I was shattered by the end of the day so it was a good job that the tv was so nice.  I put my feet up and watched Call the midwife followed by Mr. Selfridge.  The 3 Muskateers has been recorded to watch later in the week.

After work today (which was yesterdayd)  its a quick nip to Aldi to get my strawberries and some more chocolates for the Monster Hugs.  Do you know that these will not be available after the 27th January?  The hugs I mean, not the chocolates.  If you would like some Monster Hugs please let me know and I will add it to my order that I shall place this weekend.  They are £5.50 for 18 little blue ones or 18 little pink ones.  Perfect for anytime I think.  Come along on Saturday and see them in the flesh, I will have lots of Monster Hugs around the place.

So that was yesterdays post.  It seems a bit pointless to do a Tuesday twitter so, until tomorrow, fingers crossed you will get to read this.

Have a great day and thanks for having a read, now that there is something to read about.

Sunday

Saturday

A crafting Saturday

Yesterday didnt quite go as planned but that is okay, life cant always be as we plan.

I got up so early today but I guess that I am excited as I get to play with lots of crafting bits today and not too many chores to do either, which makes a lovely change.  I am still sure that one day I will wake up with no chores to do at all.  Today I am off to do a bit of shopping and deliver some SU goodies, trying to make a little space at home.  I am also sorting out/pricing up all the things that are for sale next Saturday.  Goodness just one week away and I am not going to panic as I know that it will all be okay in the end.  I have the make and takes organised, the new brochures have arrived and I have some samples ready to show everyone.

Here ares some ribbons that Stampin' Up! have/had.  I love this little drawer unit and I have put it to good use for next weekend.
I have lots and lots of ribbon to show you which you can purchase on the day, nothing better than having a feel, as all us crafters know....of the ribbon I mean

Would you like to join stamperettes (club 10).  On 28th January I hope to start the next series of Stamperettes where 10 ladies committ to purchasing £15 worth of Stampin' Up! goodies each month, for the next 10 months.  Its a great way of builidng up your Stampin' Up! collection, gathering all the items you need in the same colours etc. etc.  During one of these 10 months each person will be a virtual hostess and get at least £25 worth of SU products, for nothing.  That is right, it is not very often that you get something for nothing.  Also, each person will get all the catalogues, brochures, minis free of charge throughout the 10 months and who knows what else.  There are still a few places left and if you would like some more information, give me a call on 01332 721877 or send me an email tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com

I am off to play with my envelope board a little more this afternoon and then this evening I will bring a few more things down stairs to share with everyone next week.
This is a little packet that I have made using the envelope board and some new papers called sweet sorbet.  The papers are free in the Sale a Bration promotion and so is the stamp set.  You can fit 5" x 3 1/2" cards and envelopes in here and guess what the kit size is for some brand new bundles from stampin' Up!, yes that's right 5" x 3 1/2"

Have a great day and thanks for having a read

Friday

Jumping for Joy

Whoop Whoop it's Friday and I have woken up with that Friday feeling.

After my busy morning at work I will be out all afternoon today, people to see, places to go, bills to  pay....if you know what I mean so I will be pleased to put my feet up tonight.

I have lots and lots of SU bags to deliver tomorrow so I will make some calls in the morning and see if you are home, if you are waiting for crafting goodies to play with, we can arrange to get together.  I promise to bring your things with me as earlier this week I went out without them, opps.

Last night I had another play with the SU envelope board and am very impressed, again.  Everytime I make something different on it I think wow.  My friend Tracy has made tons and tons with the board and that has spured me on.

But let me share these little tags with you.  I have made these using a new stamp set that is out on 28th January in the Spring Summer Mini as well as this new punch for the end of the tag.  I am so pleased with this and look forward to having another play.

Come along on 28th and see these tags, as well as others, in the flesh.  Have a go with the board yourself, I am sure you will love it.

Off to work a bit earlier today, the traffic is terrible.  We have London Road closed, road works at Little Eaton Island and it is having an impact in Alvaston.  Have a great day and I hope you stay dry, the forecast is for rain.  Thanks for having a read.

Thursday

There's a moose loose

I spoke to all my daughters yesterday, normally it's two out of three not all three.  Great news is that Sophia is off to Athens for a couple of months to get some more social work experience, working for the red cross, very proud of her.  That does mean that mum will probably have to go to visit her though tut tut.

Here are another few cards that I started at the Christmas card club

They need sticking down, a bit of glitter and some crystal effects.  I shall just do a few more of these and then that will be that and the stamp will need to look for a new home.  I am trying to sell all my stamps bits by bit as I dont have the room for them.  We cant have it all can we.

Paul is going away today boo hoo.  Although while he is away I get so many little odd jobs done around the house, I go to bed at 9 and get up a bit earlier and before I know it, he is back again.  So his working away suits us both.

Just a few more days left now before my open house and I am busy making cards and other bits and pieces.  I am also sorting out all the retired stamps that I have so that they can go on the sales tables.  There are some bargains to be had, thats for sure.  If you fancy a cuppa and a chat and even a make and take, please do call in on Saturday 25th January at any time between 10 and 4.  If you need my address, let me know.

Disappointingly I only lost 1/2 lb last night which I was really surprised at.  I have been so good all last week that I was expecting the scales to be kinder but never mind.  Another week started and it means that to stay on my mini target, I need to loose 3 1/2 this week, I can do that, cant I?

Off to work, not going to be late.  Thanks for having a read and have a lovely day

Wednesday

Midweek Musing

Once I had put all my crafty bits away from the Christmas card club, I sat down and finished off the cards that I started on the night.  They are not stuck together but all they need is glitter and glue and they are done.
These are the ones that I showed everyone how to do using a stamp a ma jig to give you a reflection.  I have used all SU inks and the stamps are from before I discovered Stampin' Up.  So that another 8 in their envelopes.

Fingers crossed that I get to loose another 2lbs tonight.  I have been very good on my diet this week but I know I could have done a little better, tut tut.

Had a lovely day yesterday.  It was friends, friends and more friends.  I got a couple of scrapbook pages done too last night too.  I will share those on another day.

Off to work I go, a bit late again.  Hope you manage to stay dry today, the forecast is for a lot of rain.  Thanks for having a read.

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

Yesterday came and went in a blur.  I got so carried away with the blog in the morning that I was actually late for work, me, moir, couldnt believe it.

Once I got home from the office, visited and did the shopping, ate soup and got sorted, it was 20 past 3.  Where did the afternoon go?  I didnt do any chores but hay, they will be waiting for me tomorrow. Yes tomorrow because this afternoon I am off out and tonight is scrapbooking.

I got this from a young man that I would love to be my son in law.  He really is very sweet but my daughters think of him as a brother.
Anyway, I had to fill it didnt I, looks lovely in my craft room
For today's TAH DAH

This is a new stamp set that you can get your little mits on in just 14 days when we get the Spring/Summer mini catalogue and what a great time to get it, just in time for Sale a Bration. If you would like to place an order, find out more about Stampin' Up! or just have a crafty natter over a cuppa, please do call in to my open house in Derby.  Come for the day if you wish, lots to keep you occupied and hopefully a lot of different people to talk to.  Not to mention the raffle basket, the cakes and the samples.

Off to work a bit earlier today.  Thank you for having a read and have a wonderful day, whatever you are up to.

Monday

Happy Birthday Gail

Yesterday was my sis in laws birthday and here is the card I made for her.  If anyone reading this knows what the stamp is, please do let me know as I need a few more of these cards, for my box.
So as promised, yesterday I did not go on the computer.  I did pop into facebook to see if my daughters were there and I think that was about it.  Goodness how much time do I spend here?  I shall be doing the same thing next Sunday.

Paul and I caught up with a few chores, went out for lunch and did a little visiting in the afternoon.  I actually sat down and watched Sherlock as well.  A lovely day.

Monday morning and here we go again.  This week is another quite relaxed week for me, Wednesday is fat club, oh and Tuesday is scrap book night and I am having an afternoon out with bestie but apart from that I get to craft every afternoon this week.  Very lucky.

I did a couple of months worth of accounts yesterday and I am surprised at how much better I feel, being on top of things.

Here is another bag that I have made using the new papers that are available to buy in the UK in just another 15 days.

And just look at that peg.
SU have mini pegs in silver and gold and they are wonderful.  I just cant get over how lovely they are and I would love you to see them so if you fancy a coffee on 25th, please do nip in to my Open Day and see these pegs, as well as other things, in the flesh.

I had best get my skates on now as I will be late for works, opps.  Have a great day

Saturday

My weekend

I am up early today and I think I have caught up with myself (without meeting myself coming back). This is a strange saying that we heard a few years ago with a nurse in hospital when Christiana was having treatment.

Last night was wonderful.  There were 12 of us who met up for the first time at St. Edmunds Church for our first Christmas Card and Chatter Club.  The room was airy, cosy, welcoming and extremely clean.  A bit chilly to start with but as most of us had layers on, it was warm enough.  Lots of new faces and everyone said they had a great night and would be back on 14th February for our next get together, unless they get better offers.

At £1.50 for the whole evening it was well worth it and there was lots of chatter going on too.  I cant show you the Christmas cards yet as mine need a few finishes touches but I will photograph them as soon as they are done.  I dont intend sticking them all together until November but they will stay in their envelopes all ready to be assembled.

I showed everyone how to create a reflection similar to this using SU colours and the stamp a ma jig

For today, once the chores are done I think I get to play in the craft room as I have lots of new bits to play with.  Lots of new goodies to get ready for my open house, on 25th January and YOU are invited.

Today I decided that it is some of the little things that make each day a bit nicer such as my fountain pen.  I haven't used it for ages but now that it is back up and running again, I love writing things down.  Perfume, I have so many perfumes and dont wear them often enough so I shall give myself a quick spray each morning, even when I am home having a pj day.   A very quick facebook message with my sister each morning starts the day off a treat.  What makes your day a little special?

Thanks for having a read and please stay warm, it really is bitterly cold out there.

Friday

Flying Hedgehogs

That Friday feeling is here and phew, what a tough week.  I am still running about 2 hours behind everything but hopefully, after the weekend, I can catch up.  I am feeling very calm and not stressed at all, taking it all in my stride.

After my morning at work today I am off to accountants and then its home to get ready for this evening.  I cant wait to get started on my 2014 Christmas cards and for those that may think it is a little mad, that is okay.  I shall be happy doing something and if I am happy, shouldnt you be happy for me?  moving on

As promised, here is Millies birthday card that I made

I made this one too but its from Christiana, Sophia and Katerina.

While the girls were here over Christmas, they wrote all the birthday cards for the year, brilliant.

I have a lot planned for the weekend and fingers crossed we can fit it all in.  I am not sure how long Paul will be in Derby for so I want to make the most of the time with him, whilst I can.

I have now decided that Sunday will be a day off from it all, whether I go out for the day, have a pj day or whatever, I shall not use my computer on Sundays...we shall see how long that lasts.

Not long until my open house, I shall keep reminding you as I really am hoping for lots and lots of visitors throughout the day for a cuppa, some cake and a chat about crafting and SU.  My whole day is devoted to everyone who walks through the door.  I know I will have tea, coffee and the cappuchino machine will be on too so please, do pop in to see what samples there are, look through the books, see if anything catches your eye on the sale table and, if you want to stay for the day to help out, put your hands up and come for breakfast too.
