CONGRATULATIONS CHRISTINA - yes Christina won the raffle prize of a 6 x 6 scrapbook.

Here is one of the cards I have made using the Stampin Up Jumbo handle and three of the builder wheel rollers together.  I am in the process of making the same card in pink, I will show you how it turns out.

Tomorrow is the first Friday of June so you know where I shall be tomorrow night.  It's the Derby Dabblers crafting get together and Anne is going to give us a demo of how she made my birthday card.  If you fancy a couple of hours of crafting with like minded folk, why not come along to St. Martins Church Hall in Allenton, Derby, 6.30 - 9.30.  The cost is £3.00 and that includes room hire, tea/coffee and some biscuits/cakes.  It really is a lovely evening and the more the merrier, just remember to bring a mug and a name badge.  As Anne is doing a demo I have emailed out all the bits that you need to create the card, just let me know if you didnt get the email.

Thanks for having a read and hope to see you soon

Sunday

Even sunnier Sunday

I was up with the larks this morning but that was just what I wanted.  I needed to get a bit of ironing done before it got too warm, or before my feet started to get too swollen.  Yes I am suffering with my feet and legs, they are swelling up so much and are very painful at night.  I am told that this is what happens when you put on weight so its back on the big D from tomorrow.  I wouldnt be able to cope in Cyprus in a few weeks time with this pain so  the weight has to come off.

Yesterday I did lots of bits and pieces and today I have been pottering too.  The garden is coming on lovely and I will take some photographs soon so you can see what we have been up to.  As promised here are some more of my birthday cards and I will share the rest with you tomorrow, I dont want to bore everyone.

A bit of a close up

And there are still more to show you.

Well thanks for having a read, tomorrow is the start of a brand new week.  Have a lovely evening

Saturday

Sunny Saturday

Goodness, what a busy and wonderful week that was, where do the days go to?  I havent had chance to take part in WOYWW nor the Less is More this last week but hopefully there will be some spare time next week to have a play.

This week I have crafted with more than 25 lovely ladies, we have made some wonderful cards and had lots of laughs.  Here are a couple of the cards we have done, lots more to follow tomorrow

I have managed to clean my craft room too, arent I good but the cleaning, washing, ironing and other chores are all piling up.  Paul (hubby) reckons I need an assistant so, if there is anyone out there who fancies crafting and cutting up card and cleaning up the mess a couple of times a week, give me a shout.

We have had lots of birthdays, dad, sister, mum in law's birthday this week (84) as well as the eldest grandaughter (12) and anniversary so a couple of cards to show you too.

I went out for a birthday tea last weekend with some friends and the cards/gifts I got are wonderful. I have had lots more this week too so its going to be birthday card overload for you, which I am sure you dont mind, some today and some tomorrow
Detail of the card below

And what a difference a day makes to the weather, isnt it wonderful, well for those of us who like the heat, (a wonderful friend, Jackie, doesnt so sorry Jackie).  I have my table and chairs out, the umbrella is up and the garden is being planted bit by bit.  Anytime you fancy a cool drink (there is cider, shandy and pop in the fridge), please feel free to call around for a while.

I am missing talking to my daughters and I hope to catch up with them tomorrow.  They too are very busy, Sophia is doing her exams at her first year in Uni, Christiana is busy making jewlery and cards and Katerina is getting over her foundation year in Preston.  Just about 10 weeks to go and then I shall be with them.............cant wait.

On top of the busy week we have had some news about my mum, she has been diagnosed with skin cancer.  Such a worry.  She has this on her nose and at the beginning of July they will attempt to remove it.  Obviously this is going to be on our minds constantly now but she is being so positive about it all which is great.

Moving on, raffle tickets, yes everyone had a raffle ticket this week and the winner of the 6 x 6 scrapbook album is
if you have this ticket, please let me know. If no one comes forward by the time we have another Crafty Week, I shall put it back into the raffle box.

Well, I guess its time for me to start on those chores.  Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful weekend

Friday

Photograph Overload and, the weekend is nearly here

Yeah, the weekend is nearly here, I have a busy day at work first and then it will start, cant wait.
Well it really is photograph overload so be prepared. First of all, here a little shop I found in Amsterdam, if you look closely you can see the BIG stamp outside the shop, it was wonderful ha ha

Of course, my special day was to see the tulips and see the tulips we did, 100000's of them.  They were a beautiful sight and a memory that I will always treasure

At the tulip park there was an indoor orchid show and I do love orchids.  I took 100's of photograps of them but I think that this is one of my favourite

It was our great nieces birthday whilst we were away and this little card was made for her

We came home on Tuesday and after a busy afternoon we went and had a birthday meal with the family and here I am with some of the grandchildren

Paul surprised me with a birthday cake that he had organised, he even remembered the candles so the grandchildren helped me blow the candles out and take them out of the cake.

I also got home to so many more cards, flowers, presents and a new brother.  Yes I got a sewing machine so watch this space now cause as soon as I have time that will be it, I shall be doing allsorts.

Waving hello *waving* to my new follower, thanks for joining the reading list.

Now I really must get myself sorted for my start to the weekend, thanks for visiting today x

Wednesday

Whats on your Workdesk Wednesday 154

Good morning and I am up well before the larks today.  I am keeping this post short and sweet for WOYWW.
Not sure what WOYWW is yet, its where you get to peek at other crafters desks, all over the world, its lovely.  I didnt get chance to  leave comments on everyones post last week but hopefully will do better this week. To find out more, visit HERE  Thank you to everyone for all your comments last week, it was lovely to find them all.

No crafting done these last few days as my husband (its still strange calling Paul that) took me to Amsterdam for the weekend to celebrate my 50th.  It was fantastic, I knew it would be good but it was better than that, we saw so many wonderful sights as well as the not so wonderful sights in a certain colourful area, we laughed so much and met the most helpful and pleasant natives of Holland.  We went on boats, trams, buses and walked but no, I didnt ride a bicycle.  So, on my desk today are some goodies from Amsterdam.

I have a new plaque with hooks on so that I can store my empty craft bag, in between Derby Dabblers evenings.  Lots of new stamps from a Dutch Craft Shop, A new manaquin, I couldnt resist, a card from a group of wonderful friends.  Oh and some large cards in the making along with the start of my dads birthday cards, so  quite a bit really.
Now I had best get ready for work.  Thanks for having a read and have a lovely Wednesday.

WOYWW No. 153

Wednesday again and time to have a nosey at all those wonderful crafting desks that everyone is going to share today.  I will be looking at them  tonight after I get home from work.  If you are not sure what I am talking about,  then nip over to Julias Blog.

My desk is not as tidy as it was last week because I have been a busy little bee.  I am still working my way through birthday cards for the family and these have to go out tomorrow.  I did finish the man tree card from last Wednesday for my uncle.  Oh I realise that I still have a lot of clear desk to work on so that's okay.

Thanks for having a read and a look at my untidy but creative worktop.

Have a lovely day

Tuesday

Less is More Week 66

The challenge this week set by Chrissie and Mandi over at Simply Less is More is YELLOW.  Goodness, that is such a hard one for me.  Now I know I have a lovely duck stamp amongst my many stamps and can I find it?  No, did I lend it out, doubtful but, I will be searching again tonight to see if it turns up.  You should see my craft room now, its a right state, hay ho, something to keep me busy after tea.

Anyway, here is my entry for this weeks Challenge.

After a few attempts, I finally settled to enter this card into the Less is More Yellow Challenge

This is a bit of a close up
