An evening with Louise

Another late night last night and early morning today, someone told me yesterday that I would meet myself coming back?? I wonder what that means.

Here are a couple of photos from our ss weekend. This is Louise who showed us how to colour in properly using copics and one of the cards we made. Actually this is Louise's card because I was so busy nattering and laughing that I ran out of time to finish mine.

It is a lovely card to colour and one that the youngsters in the family will be receiving this year.

I managed to complete one of the major projects for my thank you party last night so I am just about ready now. All the card is cut out for the weekend so I just have to do a full day at the proper job and then its home to bake and play.

I dont have too many places left on the November Crafty nights so if you have been wanting to book your place, get in touch soon.

Hope that you have a great day

Wednesday

Halfway there

Halfway through the week already. It has been a busy one so far but then most of my weeks are busy. I have finally managed to find some time to share with you some of the lovely things we did at our recent trip away to ss in Peterborough. When we arrived as well as receiving a scrummy goodie bag, we also found these waiting for us, arent they adorable.

I wore my name badge with pride all weekend. The wallet contained pages for each tutor over the weekend so we were able to scribble down notes of each class. Thank you so much for making these, I believe that Louise did all the hard work. This is one of the cards we made which is so cute.....

I am in the middle of preparing for the Stamperettes thank you make and take this Saturday. I am hoping to have nearly 20 ladies join me for a little make and take using some lovely new SU goodies, some homemade biscuits as well as a cupcake... or two.
DRUM ROLL PLEASE ta da
The winners of the raffle that was held at my Launch party are holders of ticket numbers
337
341
340
Will you please check your tickets and get in touch if you have one of the winning numbers.

We also held a treasure hunt last weekend, no I didnt let anyone go hunting around the house, although someone really did want to....what would they have discovered??? I dread to think. Everyone had a sheet of paper with 15 questions on all relating to the new Stampin' Up! catalogue. The majority of people got 12 answers correctly but only one person got 14 right. ANNE BULL you were the one who got the most correct answers so you win the stamp set. I shall put it in your thank you bag for Sunday.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day

Sunday

Shivering Sunday

brrr its cold out there this morning but at least I am as warm as toast inside...mmm toast. We had a great day yesterday at the catalogue launch and I was so sorry that not everyone could make it. I always get so excited and nervous at events that I forget to get my camera out until its too late but I did remember yesterday and here are the cards made by Elvie, Jacquie and Sue.

We used the tips of the tree from Lovely as a Tree and the Contempo Christmas stamp set. Jacquie liked her insert so much that she wouldnt put it inside the card, she is going to make another card out of it.

A big thank you goes to Sandra for helping me with a couple of cards which I have used over the weekend and will be used again at the papermax show next week. Also Lesley and Ann have turned out some stunning cards and projects which all the ladies have admired over the weekend, again, thank you for letting me use them this weekend. If you would like to see these then we shall all be at the PAPERMAX show on Sunday 31st October at Moorways Sports Centre in Derby. If you do come along, please pop by and say hello.

There is a raffle to be drawn later today and the marking up of the treasure hunt so I know that there will be some happy ladies later this evening. Fingers crossed for you all.

I dont have anything too exciting planned for today apart from *chores* but I do feel so much better when all the H*******k is done, its just the ironing I hate now.....yaks.

Thank you for having a read and hope you have a lovely day

Saturday

Busy busy busy

As usual it's been another busy couple of weeks so apologies for no updates. I have been beavering away making cards for the launch party for the new catalogue, a weekend away in Peterborough, my thank you party and then the Paper Max Show at the end of the month....phew. Hopefully I can get posting a little bit more regularly now.

It was lovely last night to catch up with so many friends at my first launch party and to meet Nina and George. Everyone made a card using one of the new stamp sets, we had a good chinway, coffee and cake and generally a brilliant evening. Today I have another couple of SU parties which I am really looking forward to. The table is set, the displays are ready and the chocolate cake and cream are all ready and waiting.

Here is a picture of another favorite card of mine using the contemp christmas stamp set

Here is a close up of the tree. I stamped it 3 times, cut it out and layered it up.

I have made quite a few of these with Old Olive (of course).

GREAT NEWS - I can now accept credit cards/debit cards for your Stampin' Up! order. Dont forget, there is free p+p for all orders placed during October.

Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day

Friday

Shimmer and Shine

I told you I liked the Serene Snowflake set of stamps. Hope I am not boring you with them just yet but I promise to show you something different next week. I dont expect you can see all the sparkle and shine in these pictures but I have used shimmer paints on three of them and dazzling diamonds on one, just to see the difference and if you look at them i.r.l. , there is a difference.

I am up extra early today, not only because its Friday but I am excited about my girlie weekend away. There are 8 of us off to SS in Peterborough. My bags are packed and I am all ready for the off.....house is clean (until Paul messes it up), and I have to go and do my 7.30 hours at work before I can set off. As I am being picked up later this afternoon I can always have a snooze in the back of the car.

Thanks for having a read.

It Stampin' Up! party time

Crafty night dates are on the right hand side of my blog, you will need to scroll down a little bit. Already 2 nights are fully booked so if you dont want to be disappointed, please book as soon as possible.

Great news about my Stampin Up parties, the one on Friday 22nd is already full. Ohh such a lot of interest which is lovely. I still have a couple of places available on Saturday at 10.00, at 2.00p.m. and Saturday night is still free. Saturday nights party will be to the background music of x factor though, arent I naughty. I have sent invitations out for these parties but if the royal mail hasnt already delivered yours or, you are in the Derby area and want to find out more about Stamping Up, just drop me an email tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com and you are most welcome to come along.

Tonight I am playing with some new stamps that I have borrowed to give sample of the make and take we shall do at my parties. Oh, there will be a raffle, a treasure hunt, homemade goodies to eat, retired stamp sets to purchase as well as lots of things that you can try before you buy kind of thing as well.

I did tell you that I had made the Serene Snowflake card in Real Red as well so here it is...I think these look quite posh....more colours will follow as soon as I make them, I didnt do the knot too well here though.

Have a great day whatever you are up to.

Wednesday

What would you have done

Mid week again, Wednesdays soon come round. Tonight I had to buy some stamps. Off I went and purchased milk and 4 2nd class stamps and it seemed a tad expensive. I asked the sales assistant if the price of the stamps was correct, £2.04 and she said yes, I commented that 51p for second class seemed a lot and she confirmed that that was the price. So off I trot back home, still wondering about the sudden cost of postage. I checked the internet and lo and behold, 2nd class postage is 32p. Before I had my cuppa it was back to the shop and I asked to see the manager. He came along and with the sales assistant I explained my plight quoting further training needed for staff, wasting my time etc. etc. This young girl believed that the cost was 51p, which it is FOR LARGE LETTER 2nd class postage. The stamps she sold me said large on them but she didnt know any difference. Now, should I have gone back and complained or should I have just used the stamps??? What would you have done.

Here is yet another Serene Snowflake card, this is in chocolate chip but I have the same card in real red. Soon there will be old olive and a lot more different colours, in fact I will make it up with every colour that I have ribbon for as I adore it.

We had the crafty readers meet up tonight, another fine meal discussing a rather strange book, What Alice Forgot. Have you read it?

oh, I should mention that I did leave the shop with 6 first class stamps as an apology........

Thanks for nipping onto the blog for a read....cant wait to see your comments

Tuesdays Twitterings

I have a confession to make, I cant leave the new serene snowflake stamp set and the contempo christmas stamp sets alone, I really am addicted. I think everyone I know will be getting Christmas cards using one of these two sets this year.

Here is one of the card that we made during last weeks crafty night using serene snowflakes along with crumb cake, bashful blue and very vanilla card/ink. It has the one of the new ribbons on too. Not sure if you can see all the dazzling diamonds but I can assure you, it sparkles.I saw a similar card here on blog land and want to thank the person who gave me the inspiration but can I find that blog again? No....so thank you who ever you are.

I am patiently waiting for yet another delivery of the new catalogues as the ones I had delivered have all gone to new homes.

I had some great news last night, one of my daughters and her boyfriend are coming home for Christmas. It will only be for a week but I am so excited already. Unfortunately my other two girls wont be coming this year but who knows....they may change their minds. That means that my craft room definately has to be turned into a bedroom again.....yikes.

Thanks for having a read and have a lovely day

Saturday

Crafted Out, but only for today

Saturday is here and the weather if forecast to be lovely, keeping my fingers crossed that it is. Phew what a week the last one has been. I have just finished the crafty week which was lovely and I cant wait for the next one. 5 crafty evenings with lots of laughter, fun and wonderful company, so a big thank you to everyone who has made my week so enjoyable. Here are photos of four of the evenings, unfortunately I totally forgot to get my camera out last night, sorry ladies.

The names of everyone who placed an order from 1st October to last night went into a raffle for the hostess gifts

I shall be getting in touch so that we can sort out your prizes. CONGRATULATIONS. I will be doing the same thing again over the weekend of 22nd and 23rd October when I have my stampin up parties.

I have made, and sent out, quite a few of these

No crafting for me today, I am slightly crafted out. I shall be visiting all the blogs that I have neglected recently to see what wonderful creations everyone has been making.

Tuesday

Tempting Tuesday

I had a lovely evening last night, it was the first of my crafty nights for this week and we had an awful lot of chatter and laughter. However, there were some very silent times too, with tongues hanging out caused by concentration. I hope you ladies enjoyed it as much as I did, waving to you. Everything is ready for tonights crafty night and I am really excited about it.

Here is the last card that I made for Christiana for her birthday.

She got in touch last night to tell me that she had just sold some cards to a local shop. The shop are buying them at one price and have told her that they will increase the price by 25% to sell to customers. She has to go back again next week to see how well they have done, fingers crossed that she does well.

Just look at these wonderful papers from the SU Idea Book and Catalogue. There are so many lovely ones that I am doing a share for 3 of the papers each month, and these are for October.

If you click on the picture is should enlarge it for you

You can purchase each pack at £8.75 for 12 sheets of double sided 12 x 12. Or you can have a share of 6 sheets of one pack at a price of £4.35. If you would prefer 6 x 6, I am doing a share of 6 sheets of one pack for £1.10.

Now if you were tempted to get all three packs, it would be £25.50 for all 3 packs of 12 x 12 (36 sheets), £12.75 for one of each sheet from the 3 packs (18) or £3.20 for 18 sheets of 6 x 6. As I shall be having these delivered to my home for me to cut for the share, there will be no p+p if you can collect or I can drop these off at my next event. Should you wish me to post them out to you I am happy to do so but the postage for this will be additional to the above prices.

Phew, I hope that you can understand that, its a bit tricky thinking this time in a morning. I need to rearrange my blog to get the shares on a seperate page, something for the weekend.

I have to get ready for the proper job now so thank you for having a read and have a lovely day

Monday

Look what I got

I received this card from Dylan. He is the grandson (I think he is about 6 years old) of a hostess who had a Stampin' Up! workshop in her home last week. He was so well behaved, made the cards that we made and at the end of the evening as a thank you because he had such a lovely time, he presented me with this. One of the best cards I have ever had, thank you Dylan.

Here is one of the cards we made using Pocket Silhouttes stamp set. I am so pleased that this set is still in the new catalogue along with Sincere Salutations for the sentiment.

Thank you Denise for a lovely evening and I cant wait to see all the lovely ladies again next month.

Have a great evening and thanks for having a read

Saturday

Sunny saturday

Where do I start with all the amazing things in the SU brochures? I thought first of all it had to be with the colour renovation kit. If you cant see the details clearly enough once you have clicked on the picture, just send me an email tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com and I shall send you the jpeg image. Alternatively you can find everything in the catalogue which you can download (in my side bar). If you would like a copy to look through, I am happy to put one in the post to you on Monday morning.
With the new catalogue out I expect that there are going to be lots and lots of projects in blog land for you to have a look at. Hopefully I can share some that I make over the next few weeks.

Here is another card that I made for Christiana, which one of her sisters gave to her.

We had a lovely evening at dabblers last night, Anne showed us how to make a wonderful little box/envelope which I will photograph tomorrow in daylight. It was great to catch up with everyone, I just didnt have enough time to chat as long as I wanted to. I also made a great start on the loyalty cards which I need for next weeks workshop. There are 2 places left on Friday is you fancy an evening out.

Today is a day to get all the workshop goodies ready, project sheets typed and printed and get on with some chores.

I must also try and master putting a link with my email address on here. I dont know why I cant do it, I have tried but the link I put on just takes people straight to my in box....now you really dont want to be going there do you....no I thought not.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day

It Derby Dabblers tonight YEAH, I have missed everyone so much and cant wait to catch up. Derby Dabblers is a craft club in Derby which is a bit of a social gathering. There is always lots of chatter and laughter. We pick up a trick or two and each month one of the ladies does a demo for us all to follow. Tonight it's Annes turn and I just know the item she will show us how to make will be fab.

Sorry for the long post and thanks for having a read....is anyone having a read?
