Sleepy Saturday

Its 2.30 in the morning and its soooo quiet, I just cant get to sleep even though I have been in bed since 11.00 so decided to get up and have a cuppa. I am now using a new didy (thats tiny) keyboard, with the computer programmes all updated and keeping my fingers crossed that the computer is now all sorted. It has been giving me problems for sometime but my superstar Paul thinks he has done all the repairs....fingers crossed.

I received this card in the post recently from Emma (along with my cardigan that I left behind at her class), isnt it cute. I love getting proper post but it doesnt happen too often. It has been made using stamping up products, thanks Emma

I am halfway round the WOYWW from earlier this week and wow, there are so many beautiful blogs out there, the talent just amazes me.

Have a great day, whatever you are up to and please forgive me if I am a bit sleepy this afternoon.
Thanks for having a read, Tracey

WOYWW

Last week blogger and myself had issues....and I lost. It seemed to be so slow and timing out all the time that I struggled to leave comments on everyones WOYWW. Fingers crossed that I will have better luck this week and thank you for all the wonderful comments everyone left for me. My view of my blog currently is a blank white page, no borders, nothing but I am hoping that it will return to normal eventually.

I told you last week that I went out to buy glue and really, that was all I purchased.

Lots of WOYWW friends show pictures of their cats, unfortunately I dont have any pets so here is a picture of the only cat in the house lol.

It's hunt the desk today, what a state

and the floor is no better either

Hopefully I will get chance to sort it out this weekend. One of the best things about having a room for crafting is that you can shut the door.
Wish me luck for my weigh in today as I have been extra good on my diet this week. Thanks for having a read. If you want to see what WOYWW is all about, please nip over to Julies blog.
Have a great day

Wednesday

WOYWW

Goodness, Wednesday has soon come around, I am sorry I didnt get chance to join in with WOYWW last week but I am up early today purposley to take par. Although I will try my best to get round everyones blog today, it does usually take me a week or so. Dont know what I am talking about - nip over here have a look through all the wonderful blogs.

On my desk today is utter chaos, I am still putting things away from the weekends card sale and havent really had time to clear my workspace. I still have a project on my desk that I started weeks ago, a notebook and matching ruler, the glue in the bowl has dried out as have all the glue bottles on my desk. I have had this glue for a few years so its no surprise....OFF TO BUY GLUE TODAY lol.

Have a great day, whatever you are up to and thank you for taking the time to have a read.

Tuesdays Twitterings

what a day today has been, work was as busy as ever however, I found that I was sooo tired at lunchtime that I went to my car, put the seat back and nodded off for half an hour. I cant believe how refreshed I felt, a definate power nap. As this is the second time I have done this I think I shall have to call it a nappy time, which is what Katerina (my youngest daughter) calls it.

We had a lovely thrill this evening, the new 787 dreamliner flew over our house and as I had been waiting for it in the street for a while it was a real treat. Sandra and Maddy were out there with me and then Paul came home. Goodness knows what the other neighbours must have thought with us in the middle of the road looking up into the sky. The plane wasn't as big as I thought it would have been but very sleek and very quiet. It passed over RR and tipped it wings and then banked round, circled and came over again. Loverly.

Some more good news....Paul got promoted at work WAYHAY. He has worked hard and really deserves it, I am proud of him.

Here is a card that we made a few weeks ago on one of my SU get together nights with my team. We still dont have a name for ourselves so any suggestions would be appreciated. Everyone who comes along brings a kit with a card in ready for us to make. Everything is all cut out ready so all we have to do is put it together. We have a lovely evening catching up, talking about SU products and seeing what we all like best....if you would like to join us, just get in touch.

This is the card that Pam brought along with her for us to make

Sunday

Going, going....gone

Going, going...gone was the hectic weekend but what a lovely weekend it was. Day 2 of the well dressings started off extremely quiet, what with the rain, gray clouds and lack of people I thought we would be going home at lunchtime but then the sunshine came out and so did all the visitors. All in all we sold over 350 cards. It wouldnt have been possible without Pam, Jayne and Paul...thank you.

Going, going...gone were these balloons too

Thats Mother in law and Paul by the way.

Going, going......gone is my computer, I cant access my photos or other files on the desktop so I am now using my net book, phew. Paul is hoping to sort out the computer but it wont be for a few days.

So now its time to catch up on all the things I have been neglecting, friends, emails, family etc. Although my working hours (at my proper job) have increased for the next few weeks, I do hope to try and catch a little ME time.

The day of rest - yeah right

Thank you to everyone for your good wishes yesterday, day 1 of the card stall. I must say that the day started of very quietly, once we had set up. The spots of rain came down and fortunately they were just spots...the wind got up, died down, got up, died down and then the sun came out. The cards didnt fly around too much but it was constantly putting them back in place when the wind came. We had a few gusts but there were a crowd of people at the stall so they helped put everything back in place.

I was very naughty with my food yesterday, a cupcake stall tempted me, just to see if they were as good as mine of course. There was a bbq which tempted me all morning so I gave in at lunch time and then, to top it all, I was stood next to a homemade chocolate truffle stall....... I just had to sample them. If that wasnt enough, I came home and Paul had got a curry prepared , ohhh what will I weigh at my weighin on Wednesday yikes.

It was lovely to see everyone yesterday so thank you for all your support. The best compliment of the day was that fellow cardmakers purchased my cards......thank you so much.

Got home and my feet were killing me, and I have to do it all again today LOL.

Here are the 4 boxes that I started with, and the picture I promised you yesterday but blogger wasnt playing.

I have been talking quite a lot to Katerina (my youngest daughter) telling her that I have been baking so rina, just for you (and of course anyone else that looks) here are the cakes I have made over the last couple of weeks

Fingers crossed that the weather stays nice for me today....have a good un

UPDATED - ITS POURING IT DOWN WITH RAIN - oh no

Saturday

Today's the day

yes today's the day.....no not dolmio day.
Today is the first of two days that I get to stand behind a stall and hopefully sell some of the 700 cards I have taken a year to make. The weather forecast isnt looking too good and I have been worrying about it all week but last night decided it will be what it will be....

I am sorry that there havent been any posts recently but working longer hours and getting ready for this weekend has taken up all my spare time - normal service to be resumed next week lol.

Blogger is currently playing up so I cant share any pictures with you at the minute but as soon as I can, I will.

Have a great day and thanks for having a read

Thursday

Weddings, weddings, weddings

Here is one of the wedding style of cards I have made for the Well Dressing. For all those that have asked it's as Aston on Trent, Derbyshire on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th July so if you are in the area, please do come and say hello. Yesterday I managed to complete (with insert) 32 cards, I have another 41 cards all ready without inserts and that is my lot, I can do no more lol. In total that will be over 600 cards for the 2 days phew......It's great that my "to finish" boxes have been drastically reduced to half an A4 box and there is no point in me saying that I will do better next year because I know I wont lol.
I am going through all the lovely WOYWW blogs and wow, there are a lot of extremely clever people out there.... I must get ready for yet another busy day at my proper job. Thanks for having a read today and hope you enjoy whatever you are up to.

Wednesday

Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday

Midweek and phew...what a scorcher yesterday was in Derby. I have just heard the forecast and it sounds like rain for today, well the gardens could do with it. I am STILL getting ready for my card sale at the Well Dressings next weekend, you would think that as I had a year to get organised it would all be done and dusted by now, ohh noo not for last minute Annie (that is what Paul calls me). I do tend to leave things to the last minute, shock and horror I imagine some of you are thinking. I get cards ready for birthdays well in advance but the inserts go in just before I deliver the card, presents are purchased weeks ahead but they dont get wrapped until the last minute and paperwork yikes......

Here's my pictures of WOYWW which I have just taken, a bit of a creative mess really, half finished cards, bits and pieces everywhere lol but I know, it wont be as creative as other desks.

The craft room really is a bit of a tip and it will have to stay like that today, who knows if I will tidy it tomorrow, whats the point in cleaning it when it gets messy again???

Thanks for having a read and have a lovely Wednesday. I am really looking forward to a bit of blog hopping later today to see other WOYWW.

UPDATED - The SU order is out for delivery yeah. Hopefully I can get it all sorted ready to hand out later today, depending on what time it arrives

Tuesday

well read

Monday came and went and Tuesday is nearly over....going back to work full time is a bit of a struggle as I am not used to it, although I am sure I soon will be.

No cards to share with you today but, does anyone local fancy a book swap. I have 5 books that have been read and would love to exchange them for another few books.

Grumpy old couples by jenny Eclair and Judith Holder
The Perfect Man by Sheila O'Flanagan
Evidence by Jonathon Kellerman
The Return Journey by Maeve Binchy
Fred Dibnah biography by David Hall

I have put local as I think that the cost of posting these out would be a bit expensive.

Monday

STAMPIN UP ORDER

I am placing an order tomorrow and I wondered if anyone wanted an odd ink pad, some papers or 12 x 12 designer sheets etc. If you can let me know by sending me an email to tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com I shall add it to the other bits I am getting.

Sunday

Sunny Sunday

Yesterday I shared a card that Lesley got us to make at our team get together well today, this is the card that Elizabeth brought along with her for us to do. It is a double pocket card and once you know how to do it, it's quite easy. The card was lovely to make and a big thank you Elizabeth. Click here to see her blog if you want to have a peek at some of the lovely things that she can create, well worth a visit.

Have you all noticed my WOYWW card stand. Mr. D made them for everyone, what a star. Dont know what I am on about with WOYWW, have a look at this, it should explain all

Today I am off into town to change some clothes that I purchased a couple of weeks ago, I dont know why I got them as I dont like them....typical me then its to continue with the yakky inserts ready for the well dressings but at least I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

Have a lovely Sunday

Sleepy Saturday

I think I will be a bit sleepy all day today, the neighbours had a party last night, I think it must have been one of the teenage lads birthday which I dont mind as they dont usually have parties but the music was still going at 2.00a.m. At 2.30a.m. the drunken girls decided to get in a taxi and what an awful racket they made which was made worse because we had the bedroom windows open. Perhaps I can have a nap later today.
We had a stampin up team meeting a couple of weeks ago and this is one of the cards that Lesley showed us how to make...bless her as she sat and cut out lots of 1" squares. To see more of her talented work nip over HERE.

Have a great weekend

Friday

No Dabblers tonight - sad

It's the first Friday of the month and quite a few of us usually meet up for our crafting group, the Derby Dabblers. Unfortunately the church hall has been double booked so we cant have our get together tonight, which is such a shame as so many people look forward to this, including me.

Yippee, its Friday...my first full day back at work was soooo tiring and I am so happy that after today I have the weekend to recover. Over the last few days I have got back into crafting again which is a good job as my nieces best friend gave birth to her first child, Bradley. I havent seen Bradley yet but I was asked to make cards for him, which is what I have done....I didnt have a problem coming up with 4 different ideas (the penguin one is a request as Becky has been walking like a penguin for a few months)

I also had wanted to make a nappy cake for some time, I know that these very decorative with clothes inside but as it was my first, I tried to keep it simple....I just never thought of taking a photo of it before I put cellophane around....next time.
Oh yes there will be a next time as I loved doing this and thank you to Paul, without his help it would have been impossible, sorry about the quality of the picture.

Hope you have enjoyed your read this morning, thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day, I understand that umbrellas will be needed in Derby today

Thursday

White Rabbit White Rabbit White Rabbit

1st July today and it feels as though the year is just rushing by......vrooom and it will be Christmas, scary. You would have thought that with me having the day off work yesterday that I would have had plenty of time to put on a post for you to read but when I got up I was sooo dizzy, which lasted the whole day, fortunately its not too bad today as I really cant afford to have any more time off work, in fact I have to work extra hours but more about that another day.

Good news about my MRI scan results YEAH, no serious damage, nothing to show that my cartledge has been hurt in any way and all knee joints as expected, just degenerative wear behind the knee cap so that is brilliant news, I am so so relieved which means I have a full day at work today, the first one in over 4 weeks, just hope I dont nod off in the afternoon.

As promised, although it's a day late, here is a card that I made after going to Emma's brayering class last weekend.

I know it's not perfect and I know its a case of the more practice you have the better you get, but I am still very happy with it. I havent put a sentiment or any embellishments on it as I am unsure who I will send it to at the minute.

Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day, whatever you get up to.
