Another Class Card

Here is another card that was made at Honeypot crafts on Sunday with Phil. Its a messy rabbit image and lots of cute little embellishments that we cut out to decorate the card with. I am not sure but I believe that these cute bees, pots and dragonfly were also from messy rabbit.

The final size of this card is A4

Crafty Weekend

I have just had a lovely crafty weekend. It started on Saturday at 7a.m. with 6 of us going over, down, across ( I have no sense of direction ) to Colemans Warehouse. Had a good wander round and got tempted into buying a lovely bag (by Jayne and Paula), to match my new little carry all that I purchased. I managed to find quite a few bargins with 20% discount and left as pleased as punch. Next it was on to Stamp Addicts and, as luck would have it, they were having a sale. We all made lots of savings on half price stamps, half price 12 x 12s and lots of other bits and pieces.

We then travelled to Sirstampalot after a quick bite to eat and all the shopping baskets got full once more. We saved the best till last and Janice and Andy had coffee waiting for us which was really appreciated and needed. Eventually got home about half 6 shopped out and spent up but a day that was filled with fun and laughter, a perfect day. A big thank you goes to Jayne and Pam for doing all the driving.

Yesterday it was off to honeypot crafts for card making class where we made 4 cards.

Here is a picture of one of the cards we made using punched out shapes. I am sorry I cant tell you what shapes were what punches/die cuts as these were already prepared for us. Someone had certainly been very busy and well prepared.

It was straight home to a cooked sunday lunch for tea and straight out the door to bingo. Its no surprise that I had the day off work today to catch up. Thank you Pam for organising the crafting day with Phil

Saturday

Another wishing EWE

birthday card that I was asked to make for a smashing fella at work. His wife makes cards so it was especially nice to make this for him to send. The verse inside said "no need to be SHEEPISH about your age"

He loved it, thanks Steve.

This was one of the very first stamps that I purchased and one of the most used.

Friday

Hunting for mo jo

yes, my mo jo is lost. It may have gone on holiday so if anyone finds it, will you please return it to me.

Since I did the weekend of card sales and rush cards for Katerina (which she still hasnt received in the post), I dont seem to be able to get motivated. I think that its because the pressure is off. I should take time to play really but its such a shame to mess up my nice clean craft room.

As promised (a little late again), here is a picture of the pizza boxes that have been sent out to my first stamperettes group. This is a group of ladies who spend x amount each month on Stampin
Up products and are virtual hostesses. They all get a free hostess gift and at least £15 to spend during the months that this ran.

This will be starting again in November with the new catalogue. If you are interested let me know and I will send you some details.

The boxes are called pizza boxes and I have used pumpkin pie and old olive card. The stamperette logo (such a funny stamp and reminds me of.........) has been stamped onto confetti white and then coloured in using the watercolour crayons. The flower is a scalloped circle cut out of whisper white card, edged with pumpkin pie, cut and a little flower put in the middle secured with a brad.

Thanks for having a read and hope you leave a comment as I love to read what you think.

Thursday

For Katerina

She asked me to make a card for her to give to her boyfriend on his birthday which is next week. Of course I then had to make one from Sophia and Christiana. Three cards got posted last week and I am keeping my fingers crossed that they arrive in time. Sometimes the post is so good but when you want it to get there quick, it takes forever.

Katerina likes cute and simple, easy to please. No rina I didnt say you were cute and simple.

Tomorrow is the craft club at Ilkeston and we are going to have a play with stamping onto vellum. This is something I havent done for ages so I will have a quick play tonight and then get my things ready. It is always a bit of a rush on a Friday when there is the craft club.

Also off for my first weigh in tonight (nervously biting nails). I joined slimmers world and my goal is to get rid of half a stone before my holidays, which are about 5 weeks away.

Thanks for having a look at the cards and a read. Would love to read your comments

Wednesday

Wedding Day

Middle of the week and its a damp outside this morning. I think I have a pretty easy day at work today which is good.

This card is made using a stamp that I was trying to find for a long time.
I eventually got the stamp and then left it, untouched, typical.
I wanted to do something a little simple for the wedding cards I needed (10 of them) and I came up with this. I am pleased with the way they all turned out.

Tuesday

Long Absence

Apologies for the long absence, no I didnt go on my holidays early although I do wish I had. I have been poorly and then I had my weekend of selling cards at Aston on Trent Well Dressings so life has been a bit hectic.

I hope to return to posting a couple of times a week. Thank you for all the emails I have received and your concern.

As mentioned, I sold my cards last weekend at the well dressings and had a fantastic time. Mum helped me as usual and my card stocks are practically non existant. Thanks Mum. We did so well on the Saturday that I had to beg, steal and borrow a few cards for my bargain box. The forecast for the weekend wasnt very good. At the beginning of the week it was heavy rain, by the middle of the week it was light showers. Fortunately we had a couple of very light showers on Saturday and it was just a bit breezy on Sunday. I met a lot of wonderful people and a big thank you to everyone who managed to visit.

Now another year to build up my collection before the new Well Dressing event.

Here is a picture of my stall taken on Sunday morning.

Sunday

Two posts in one day

I havent done any crafting for a couple of weeks, or anything for that matter but I dont think I have shown you these little chappies. I would love to hear what you think about them.

A slow Sunday

Today will be a slow and sleepy day as I got up at 4.30 Yes there really are two 4.30 's in one day.

A few pictures below of an afternoon at Pam's and my first ever experience of crafting el fresco that worked.

In the past I have had a breeze come and blow away pieces of paper I have been using, little ants and spiders crawling over what I am working on (I dont do creepy crawlies....as she shivers) or it has started to cloud over as soon as I get settled but we had a great afternoon in the heat, covered by a large brolly.
